I know this comes up from time to time, but the exact spec of what is in individual stores seems to vary so much from season to season, so here we go again.

Wish list:
Non-see through, obviously
Black
High cotton content
NOT a thick hold you in waist band
Lowish rise
(both because I am pregnant and I will wear them under bump. I do not want over the bump or maternity ones: I've not got on with them in my last 2 pregnancies. I don't get big, and managed with normal size 8 ones from M&S both times.
No need to be super long, I'm 5ft2
Price: up to £30

I have some fab old ones from Sweaty Betty, but they no longer do the style I liked.

I have already written off:
M&S too high waisted
H&M their "thick" ones looked ok, but waist band massive / legs too skinny.
New look: too thin
River Island: waist band too thick

Happy to go on line provided free delivery and returns. What are the Boden ones like?

Boden, keep their shape and colour look for a discount code and you'll be in budget

Ok, thanks. There is a code and free delivery returns so no harm to try. Thanks.

I had a great pair from Topshop that I wore ruined when I was pregnant. Really thick, and waist band very comfy under bump.
Cost about fifteen pounds I think, although that was about 3 years ago.

Alternatively I have just bought a nice pair from Seasalt, not sure if they do black though. They were twenty quid.

thanks amethyst. The current ones in top shop have the wide waist band, which I love when not pregnant but cannot tolerate when I am. I have ordered the Boden ones, but if no good i'll try the sea salt ones.

Has anyone tried the current Fat Face ones? They're only £15, and the reviews are OK, but i never really trust the reviews on the website as I bet the staff plant some of them!
