Non skin tight skinny jeans ?

I'm pear shaped but would like some skinny jeans that are stretchy & fairly forgiving. I've tried Top Shop Leigh jeans (think Max Wall),Oasis cut circulation off, Next just WRONG.

I'm not big (size 8) but so carry my weight on legs & large flat bottom, but have very slim ankles so the proportions must be spot on.

Any suggestions please ?Grin

Levis Demi Curve are very forgiving.

wigfieldrocks · 10/03/2015 21:15

Sound like you should try slim fit instead of skinny. Fat face slim fit are very nice - worth a try.

Oxfordblue · 10/03/2015 21:24

I think you're right there-any other suggestions for that fit ? In the past I've found Fat Face too low in the rise & for small bottoms Blush

Try M&S cheap ones, not the Per Una, Indigo or any other brand, just bog standard M&S skinny jegging jeans. £18 a couple of weeks ago, prob same price. If they are more than £18, they aren't the ones I mean!!!!

Oxford Street don't stock them, I got them in a tin pot tiny high street shop.
And try River Island. Their jeans are good too.

squiz81 · 10/03/2015 21:39

I've got some like you describe from river island.

yazzy85 · 10/03/2015 22:15

Gap Always Skinny. They are not skin tight and still quite fashionable!

Skinheadmermaid · 10/03/2015 22:21

New Look supersoft super skinny. They look fairly tight but are really, really stretchy and as comfy as leggings.
I've also heard good things about River Island but they never have the ones I want in stock...

minibmw2010 · 11/03/2015 07:08

Another New Look fan here ??

wigfieldrocks · 11/03/2015 08:08

Actually some of the Next slim leg jeans are nice - I also have a pair of m & a slim leg jeans which are nice but they are a few years old and I don't know if they still do that style. Definitely try next Smile

snowaccidentprone · 11/03/2015 08:20

Dorothy perkins slim

ShoesieQ · 11/03/2015 10:34

Uniqlo stretch jeans are utterly wonderful - really flattering and so soft. Makes my pear shaped arse look curvy rather than Kardashian.......

Oxfordblue · 12/03/2015 09:03

Shoesieq what size Uniqlo do you but & what size are you in real life ?

Time for a jeans shop I feel Grin

Topshop Baxters used to be good but their new version is just horrid, so tight and short.

Another vote for River Island, I find them to be very flattering - not a stuffed sausage in sight Grin

Mint Velvet have some nice ones too but they're over priced, even with a discount code, SEA15 is currently giving 15% off at the moment.

Lambzig · 12/03/2015 12:52

Uniqlo skinny straight fit sound like they would work for you. I love them as a slightly relaxed skinny to avoid the carrot look.

Lambzig · 12/03/2015 12:53

Oh sorry missed your post. I find uniqlo come up quite big, so I would normally buy a 30 waist, but go for a 28 or 29 in uniqlo.

Bunbaker · 12/03/2015 12:56

I am pear shaped and have a pair of Levi demi curve slim fit that are very flattering. I got the classic rise ones as I find low rise jeans too uncomfortable.

cressetmama · 12/03/2015 16:36

I have a couple of pairs from an Italian make called Johnny Q. There's a shop locally that stocks them, but it's the only place I have seen. Worth a Google for your local options?

sandalsinthebin · 12/03/2015 17:06

Levis high waist skinny are very flattering and comfy

BaconAndAvocado · 12/03/2015 21:29

I know you mentioned not liking Next but I'm a pear shape too (size 10) and have just bought a pair of Next Relaxed skinnies.

They are soooo comfortable and generally gorgeous and only £26. Take another look.

Bunbaker · 12/03/2015 21:46

I tried some relaxed skinnies recently, but they are too low rise. Being pear shaped the waistband cuts across my widest part and makes them very uncomfortable.

BernadetteMatthews · 13/03/2015 23:16

I like next relaxed skinnies too. Cheap and comfortable.

FairyPenguin · 13/03/2015 23:39

Gap Always Skinny are very good.

brakespeare · 14/03/2015 00:44
