Following on from my ankle boots thread, what boots (or shoes) would look good with this dress?

Please don't comment on the dress as I've already bought it & love it!

Have I inadvertently bought the ugliest dress in the history of MN & that's why no-ons can comment? Blush

Sandals ? Leather flip flops ?

Flat knee length boots with tights and a heavy knit cardigan for winter.

For warmer weather ballet pumps or flat sandals.

Due to the length, heels will always look better, especially nude. But if you're after more casual wear, a pointed flat will be more flattering (leg lengthening) or light sandals come summer. Worn now with long, platform boots would give it a 70s feel - v on trend.

What colour boots? Please could someone post some examples as I'm after new boots anyway!

I've just bought these - I think they'd go with your dress (which I love btw Smile )

I'm going to be radical and suggest flat brown brogues and grey tights.

Lj8893 · 10/03/2015 10:11

Ooo yes brogues would look lovely with that dress, in either brown or tan

MyGastIsFlabbered · 10/03/2015 14:45

I'm not sure I can carry off brogues, I think I have quite small ankles & huge calves Blush
