Serums

I've never used one before but have bought the Olay Regenerit serum (I already use the 3 point moisturiser) on the Boots 3 for 2 offer. What do face serums do exactly and how should I use it? Do I really need the extra step? I'm 39.

Well serums have a different job to moisturisers. Think of it as more a a treatment. I used to use the olay one, but have recently switched to the No 7 one and I definitely prefer that one. I still use the olay moisturiser because of the spf.

It's hard to say how much of a difference it's made really. Although I
feel I've aged a fair bit in the past year or so, people do tell me I have good skin and that I look younger than my age.

You just rub a few drops into your dry, cleansed face before you moisturise. I usually leave it on a few minutes before applying my moisturiser.

I have a few different ones depending on what my skin is like. So, I have a vitamin C one for when I'm a bit dull, a vitamin E one for when I'm dehydrated, a problem skin one for when I'm spotty, etc. and I find them to be really good. I notice the difference without.
