Charity shop find thread

Anyone care to join me? I usually restrict myself to manage to fit in a charity shop trip about once a week, never come back empty handed, and get very excited about my bargains. However, DH is a bit Hmm (although he appreciates the money saved by these trips) and I need to share!
This week I found a rain mac to shove in the bottom of the buggy for unexpected showers. I've wanted one for ages and chased a lady down the street the other day who was wearing a lovely one, only to find it was a Seasalt one costing over £100 Blush way out of my price range. Well the one I found in the charity shop was not in this league, but was long, a lovely bluey grey colour, and despite being slightly granny like is just bordering on vintage chic and I reckon I can pull it off. Also got rocha little rocha jeans, and a john lewis jumper for ds1.
Anyone else care to share?

I've had a run of brilliant finds over the last couple of weeks from the same charity shop.. J Brand skinnies for 2 quid, Betty Jackson metallic mac 12 quid and Russell & Bromley brogues a fiver Smile. fully expecting a drought for a while now but i'm quite happy to swish about in these for a long time Grin

Ooh, I LOVE charity shops!! I honestly think I am addicted. So many bargains to list, but my recent one was a pair of tan
Dune kitten heels, hardly worn, for £3.99! £3.99, I tell you!! Grin. Also, I found a HUGE plush My Little Pony toy (approx one metre long), brand new, for £4! My 6yr old was thrilled.

Cherrypie32 · 08/03/2015 20:33

A Joules fleece, as new, for £10. I wouldn't buy one new for £40 odd as just use for slobbing about or camping trips!

Spidergirl8 · 08/03/2015 20:53

Large Tripp hard suitcases, barely used in pink on Friday for £14.99- they cost £129 new!

I love a good charity shop rummage. There's one here that has a couple of rails that everything on them is a pound. if stock doesn't get sold they rotate it onto the pound rails for a few weeks until it either sells or the bag it for rags/to be weighed in

other bargains have included BNWT cashmere jumpers and cardigans for 3-4 pounds each, vintage dress gloves for 50p, laura ashley cotton cardi for £1.25, green leather handbag for a fiver, bnwt leather and velvet hi top superga for £5, versace yellow diamonds perfume new without box for £1.99, vintage glass pearl necklace for £1.50, phase eight dress for a pound and a grey wool and cashmere mix coat for £5ish

I do well because i go in often and have a good rummage round. there's a few I visit on rotation

MiH marrekesh jeans for £7 (rather than £150!). I can never quite work how to style them though so I fear I always look a bit like I am wearing boot cutsHmm

I'm wearing total charity shop outfit today. M&S wide leg navy linen trousers and a navy jumper dress from next with grey hearts, very mumsy!

I think visiting often is the key onelittlelady, often people say to me they don't know how I find such good stuff, as when they've had a look its always rubbish, bit you need to have a habit of going in regularly, and also to not know what you are looking for!

Most recent is a Roots tan leather cross body bag for £10. The receipt was crumpled in a corner, it had cost £200. :)

Swimmingwithsharks · 09/03/2015 14:00

A genuine Chanel bag with the gorgeous plum leather lining. It was £1.99. When I took it up to the counter ( heart thumping) the lady behind the counter said, ' ooooo I can't possibly let you have it for that price. What about £1.50'? I said that £1.99 was absolutely fine! ( I had gone to visit a friend in an area I had never visited before and popped into a charity shop just out of curiosity).

squiz81 · 09/03/2015 15:39

I got a nice chunky zara jumper today in a mustardy yellow
I'm a bit worried in case the colour doesn't work on me, but not the end of the world at charity shop prices!

gaggiagirl · 09/03/2015 15:53

Grey cotton uniqlo cardy £1
Red cord FLARES for DD 45p. They are so cool but she wont wear them.
Fat face top £1.
Brown leather jacket £5.

I bought a Boden skirt in the sale recently - grey yellow and white. But my only white top is sort of off-white, and looked grubby next to it. I made a quick dash into a charity shop at the weekend, and bought a white cotton short sleeved shirt. When I examined it more closely, I found that it was Boden too.
