Avoiding the Fecking panda eyes

Recently noticed every time I look in the mirror I have black smudges under my eyes. I'm sure I never used to get these. I take my makeup off with an eye makeup remover and I use liquid liner, so can only guess it must be the mascara.
Any recommendations? I know a tube one would be good, but it like a more volumising mascara....

Only thing that worked for me was to have my eyelashes tinted.

Then i got involved with the whole false but natural eyelashes. Sigh. But no more panda eyes, not thought about it til your thread when, smugly, sorry 'bout that, thought oooh, that used to be me.

Use a volumising mascara then a tubing one over it? Bobbi Brown do one which has both in one tube, one on each end, which is v good - it's Extreme Party/No Smudge.

Thank you. I love the idea of natural falsies but think they'd be too high maintenance for me. WIll try Bb.

I don't put mascara on my lower lashes. This was recommended on a 'make-up for your 40's' type thing. Maybe worth a try?
