So...

www.johnlewis.com/mint-velvet-suki-nubuck-shoe-boots/p1845268?colour=Natural

Am trying to find something that's going out ish but not a sandal type thing? Heels that are thin are just too uncomfortable so can't do them
Also I think I quite like these ( although v def Sandals)

www.office.co.uk/view/product/office_catalog/2,37/1992645009

Any options welcome as I really can't decide if like or not?..

I don't like them. But I don't like that style of shoe. I think they look too heavy for a peep toe. And the price!!

Woahbodyforrrrm · 08/03/2015 08:47

I love them!! I have a similar pair in black, they look great on and are as comfortable as a heel that height is going to be! Go on, treat yourself Grin

Leviticus · 08/03/2015 08:50

The office link doesn't work for me but the mint velvet ones are lovely. Do it.

wigfieldrocks · 08/03/2015 08:52

I can't make my mind up, I quite like them but personally think they would be nicer with a thinner heel, but I'm not at all keen on block heels personally. What would you wear them with? I think you would have to have a very specific outfit in mind, they wouldn't go with just anything. The second link doesn't seem to work.

Petal02 · 08/03/2015 09:00

I really like the John Lewis link, I'm considering buying a very similar pair from Dorothy Perkins.

Dinkydoos · 08/03/2015 09:56

Part of me wonders whether I like them as I think my mid forties look will magically be transferred into that girl in the pic!
Yes the price, I think it's ludicrous tbh, but I have seen them in RL and they did look decent... Would maiinly wear with skinny jeans and blouse look I thinkcamt make the office link work but it's the porter chunky heel sandal. Bit 70's ish
Dorothy Perkins ones? Pls link!!

I like the JL ones I'm 41 and would wear them if I had £ to buy them, page not found for office ones

Flambola · 08/03/2015 10:04

I really like the JL heels. The Porter sandals are horrific though!

wigfieldrocks · 08/03/2015 10:48

I think they would work with skinny jeans and a blouse, the grey ones are probably a bit more versatile. The more I look at them the more they grow on me! Smile

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/03/2015 10:56

I don't like them, although I do like things like that in general. I don't like the meshy bit, and I don't like the colour of the lighter ones. And the grey ones look wrong - too wrinky, like a dead elephant. Sorry.

I think there have been some really nice ones around, but that those are not very nice and are very expensive for something not great.

CointreauVersial · 08/03/2015 11:16

I really like the JL ones, in the grey. If they weren't such a monster price I'd be tempted.

BallroomWithNoBalls · 08/03/2015 11:20

I sort of like them, but it's a lot of money for such a unique shoe - you're not going to wear them that much and that money would buy you a pair of boots that would last ages and go with loads of outfits. If they were £50ish I'd say go for it though.

Sleepyfergus · 08/03/2015 13:26

I like them but feel you'd be limited as to what you could wear them with.

But they do still look like a pair of boots with the toe cut off. Messes with my head!

DakotaFanny · 08/03/2015 13:30

Nope. Sorry. Very nasty.

Dinkydoos · 08/03/2015 13:57

The mesh bit wS a bit of a suprise tbh. I saw them in JL but didn't have time to look closely but certainly didn't notice meshy but until I googled them later. The price is a shocker. Def don't want boots, bored stiff of them and need a hint if spring. Anyone seen any other nice spring footwear that isn't quite do crazy price? Something similarish that do casual going out style? Have just googled hasbeens!!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/03/2015 14:34

Would you consider lighter coloured or suede heeled ankle boots, or do you definitely want an open toe?

Dune I tried these on last year but they came up v big and v wide.

Steve Madden

Clarks but not very nice

Grey Dune I like these

BallroomWithNoBalls · 08/03/2015 14:43

Go for a Hasbeens type thing.

I have these I got last year and they are brilliant.

Or these are very cool.

These are more similar to the shape you've linked, they come in cream too and I think the black heel is more modern than the one in the OP.

Ooh these are lovely

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/03/2015 14:52

Lots of nice ones there, Ballroom.

Love these on the Topshop site too, but they are proper sandals.

Lambzig · 08/03/2015 14:55

These are plain, but obviously not leather

www.marksandspencer.com/peep-toe-slingback-mule-with-insolia/p/p22366153

I don't have the ankles for them, but I might have tried them if they were leather.

Bunbaker · 08/03/2015 14:57

Sorry, but I think they are hideous. The second link didn't work for me.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/03/2015 15:01

Grrrrr to M&S and their increasing obsession with plastic shoes.

Lambzig · 08/03/2015 15:15

I know Remus, it drives me crazy. I used to rely on them for shoes for work and now all they do are stratospheric heels, boring courts or plastic everything.

BallroomWithNoBalls · 08/03/2015 15:25

I love Topshop for shoes, such good designs and quality for the price I think.

Those M and S ones are very similar shape wise to what OP is after. But yuk to the faux suede stuff.

Dinkydoos · 09/03/2015 10:47

Right im back ( with a hangover )
You are all fab, some lovely shoes there!
Love both Dune boots actually remus and some fab stuff in Topshop ballroom may have to try those nancy sandals as they look v cool
How annoying is that re faux suede on those m&s ones lamb they would have been perfect though thinking about I'm not sure my ankles can pull off that strap.
A trip to town beckons...Smile
