Eyelash curlers

I have some eyelash curlers which I don't really use.

How should I use them - before putting on mascara, or after, or both?

Also - if it's after putting mascara, should I first wait for the mascara to dry?

Thanks!

Before mascara. You can pull your eyelashes out after.

Back to eyelash curlers!

Tried using them, and no visible curl.

Is it likely to be the eyelash curlers, or are some eyelashes resistant to being curled?

Thanks!

I have always used them, carefully, after mascara. It's the only way to get a decent curl in my opinion! And I haven't lost yet any eyelashes in about 20 years.

I use them after mascara, then another coat of mascara :)

Best tip is to heat them - gently! - with hairdryer before using. Makes them way more effective.

I've used them for years, always after mascara has dried and never had a problem. I also heat the curlers gently with a hairdryer as this helps the curl to last. Obviously check the heat of the curlers before using. Burnt eyelids aren't a good look IMO Grin

Some lash curlers are better than others. I find the tweezerman ones to be good. My lashes only hold the curl if I use waterproof mascara afterwards though, normal mascara just weighs down the curl. For me Maybelline the rocket waterproof is amazing.

Warm up a bit by putting the hairdryer on them for about 8-10 seconds.

Line up the bottom of the clamp with the base of your lashes. Takes a bit of wiggling and I find tipping my head back slightly helps me line things up in the mirror.

Gently clamp/squeeze lashes. hold for about 8-10 seconds.

Release and wait for about 30 seconds before applying mascara, so you don't pull out the curl.
