I have been always been confused by this and have recently been looking on Dressipi for guidance. They seem to be saying to me that I can wear anything, which I can't. A lot of the things they suggest would look awful on me.
FYI I am almost the same width across the shoulders as across the hips - 1cm smaller at the top. I have a 32 E bust and a fairly well defined waist, although not completely flat. I am medium height.
I can get that a belt should look good on this figure, but I don't think it does. I have a very straight car coat I look good in, for example. I look too flouncy in mac type coats.
My main problem is summer jackets and things. I currently have a biker, which looks ok I think but it stops exactly where, it seems, it shouldn't - on the waist.
Any ideas would be gratefully received. I don't live near many shops to try things on and have reached the end of my tether with trying things on and sending them back. And if Dressipi tells me once more I should wear shift dresses with no sleeves I will scream. I look awful in them.
