banana republic sizing on label in UK stores??

I tried on a dress in store which has size 6 on the label but I really don't think I'm as small as a UK 6 - would it have been the US size displayed on the label?

I want to order the dress online now but don't know what size!

Hope someone can help. Thank you!

The labels are in US sizes, the UK website has UK sizes.
So if you tried something on instore that was labelled as a 6, you should order a 10 from the website to get the right size.

That's right, a 6 is a UK 10, an 8 a UK 12 and so on
