Aveda hair cut/consultation

Has anybody done a consultation at Aveda? What was it like? Is it a "hard sale" thing? Did they give you a good haircut?

I love Aveda shampoos, so I'm intrigued.

I go to an Aveda salon, and have done for about six years. My stylist is AMAZING and cuts my hair absolutely brilliantly - there was no hard sell at the consultation, and she talked through my options with no mention at all of products, extra treatments etc. However, I have friends who go to the same salon but see different stylists, and their experience has been less positive. I think with hair it's about how much you "click" with the person cutting and how good that person is at what you're after rather than the salon brand.
