What flat shoes will you be wearing this spring?

I'm a SAHM and I have lived in my red DMs all winter. Grin

I'm hoping it'll soon be warm enough for something that isn't boots. But I'm not sure what, last year I think I lived in coverse but I trashed them and I'm bored of them too now.

What are you going to wear once it warms up a bit? :)

Superga

desperatehousewife21 · 05/03/2015 16:41

Last year I lived in my Toms so I'll be dusting those off again!
Plus sparkly cheap blingy sandals from Primark Grin

FrugalFashionista · 05/03/2015 17:12

I think the retailers are trying to make us buy flat espadrilles, but they are not ideal for wet days.

I like loafers, desert boots and leather high-tops as they go with everything in my wardrobe. I also might wear old wedges and last years' skate shoes with my flares. My feet are too big for the ubiquitous bright sneaker trend, but they look great on others. I'm also a bit wary of the lace-up flats - pointy flats in size 8 just look scary.

Skivvywoman · 05/03/2015 17:19

Probably hurraches, loafers and a new pair of toms and when it's warmer Havanas

AmberNectarine · 05/03/2015 17:23

Stan Smiths (black)
Gazelles (burgundy)
rockstud flats (also burgundy)
Suede loafers (navy)
Desert Boots (bright pink)

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 05/03/2015 17:57

Converse - tan leather / black leather / blue denim canvas
Pointed ballet shoes with an ankle strap - black but I really want some red ones too
Ballet shoes - leopard print
And I fancy a pair of really old fashioned little sandals, maybe tan - like old style children's shoes.
I'll probably still wear boots too, until at least Easter, but move from black heavy ones to lighter tan ones.

CoconutAmericano · 05/03/2015 18:10

Ballet flats and slipper style flats.
Saltwater sandals.
Leopard print loafers
My new Sketcher trainers

CoconutAmericano · 05/03/2015 18:12

Sorry the saltwaters will be reserved for the hottest of summer days actually. I'll add black and silver brogues to my list.

swooosh · 05/03/2015 18:20

Converse - low white leather
Adidas ZX Flux - link

and in the summer

Spanish sandals I've ordered glitter black ones

Next sparkly flip flops

Suddengeekgirl · 05/03/2015 18:29

Oooh! Lots of ideas! Grin

Some slipper style flats might be nice.
Trouble is I hate having cold toes so would really like shoes I can wear socks with! Blush

swoosh thanks for the link to varca, love the sandals.

CointreauVersial · 05/03/2015 18:52

I've just bought a pair of Superga - most comfortable shoe ever!

I also have a couple of pairs of ballet flats (black and leopard ponyskin) but they feel a teeny bit dated nowadays so I'm on the lookout for something else.

Maybe some loafers? I have wide feet, so pointy flats rarely fit properly, but I'm quite tempted by some ghillie flats (with laces around the ankle) that I saw in Next.

OneLittleLady · 05/03/2015 18:56

various pairs of converse both hi and low top, ballet flats, flat velvet mary janes, various cheapo sandals from primark and i've also got, from primakr, some leopard print ankle strap pointy toe flats.

stripytees · 05/03/2015 19:20

Gold Ash lo tops, tan Ash hi tops
Ecco hi tops
Cath Kidston Gola trainers
New Balance 420
Tan Grenson brogues
Black Camper flats

Love wearing shoes again after months in boots!

JaceLancs · 05/03/2015 19:30

Black or brown loafers with trousers
Pumps for skirts
Vans or converse with jeans
Heels for dressed up going out

When it warms up even more I have a large variety of sandals

Can you tell I love footwear as my DM would say that and jewellery never make you feel fat!

Good job I don't have quite as much of a handbag habit

swooosh · 05/03/2015 19:32

you're welcome baby Grin I haven't bought that brand, mine are coming from eBay but if you just type 'Spanish sandals' into google then lots come up. I reckon they will be the new summer shoe!

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 05/03/2015 19:36

I'm a Vans convert - I'd like a new pair of the low version for summer and maybe a pair of Toms. Hoping it'll be warm enough for my Swedish Hasbeens.

What flat shoes will you be wearing this spring?
Oly4 · 05/03/2015 20:10

Those Vans are ace!! Am off to purchase. What's the sizing like?

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 05/03/2015 20:26

I wear these in my usual size (7) same as Converse & Superga and they're a good fit. I have a pair from last year that are acid wash peach/pink & they're so comfy.

leccybill · 05/03/2015 20:29

Are they Vans in the pic above? I like them too. How do I search for them?

Turquoiseblue · 05/03/2015 20:55

Superga - khaki green
Nude patent loafers (nicer than they sound (carvella)
Black pointed toe suede flats (carvel a)
Black ponyskin, Studded ' rock stud a likes' (FCUK last year)
Tan sweedish hasbeens (when it s really sunny Grin)

Grey and black nike (can't remember what they re called)

ThatBloodyWoman · 05/03/2015 20:58

I go direct from boots to sandals, namely footbed birkenstock types.

IfYouWereARiverIdLearnToFloat · 05/03/2015 21:17

Asos have some of the Lo Vans in - I was going to try & wait for a discount code before buying. That pair are from www.vans.co.uk

mewkins · 05/03/2015 21:19

It's meant to hit the 70s over Easter so we may well be breaking out the sandals sooner rather than later! Anyway, while still on mat leave I will be wearing my new lovely purple supergas. When back at work, tan brogues, ballet pumps and possibly ankle boots (aircon makes me chilly).

Marylou2 · 05/03/2015 21:22

Superga. Always have white and navy but just got some silver and will have to pluck up the courage to wear the. Always love Birkenstocks and Havianas when it's hot.
