wedding outfit help

Right, I need a dress to wear for a wedding overseas, in a few weeks. Not a destination wedding so no beachy clothes, just normal wedding wear. It'll be warmer than here, around 23 degrees probably but could be much warmer/cooler.

I'm early 30s, 32gg boobs, size 14, shortish, prefer sleeves as self conscious about my arms. Brown hair, green eyes, ghostly pale. Probably need shoes too, though I have an orange pair I adore! Can't do skyscraper heels although a less scary heel is fine.

Please save me from a meltdown in town tomorrow! Any suggestions?

I quite like the phase eight dresses - something like this ?

Thanks agoodbook but I'd prefer longer sleeves than that, I know my arms are the same size with or without sleeves but I just have this hangup about them.

I just got this after seeing it on another wedding outfit thread. It's not the most beautiful quality ever (but good for the price) but it is a really lovely dress that you could easily dress up or down. The green is a lovely shade and might suit your colouring.

Ooh that looks nice. May I ask what kind of size/shape you are petitdonkey? I ordered the tulip wiggle dress from asos but the fit is utterly bizarre, massive on top.

I think I am similar to you - 32G bust, wide hips and smallish waist (not as small as I would like!!) I ordered the 14 - I have only tried it on over my jeans so far but will let you know when I try it properly!! I actually think because the top is draped it is quite minimising…. I normally go for quality over quantity but bought this on a whim and think I might keep it. I will let you know as I said when I can be bothered to try it on properly!!

I think the belt wrap thingy makes it look a bit cheap though so I will see if I can detach it...

I'm well versed in not being arsed trying things on properly, the tulip dress I tried on with my grotty work socks, just couldn't be bothered taking them off.

I'm also wondering about smart 7/8 trousers, posh top plus heels, any opinions? Might require spindlier heels than I usually go for though. Hmm.

If you find 7/8th trousers that fit curves nicely and are the right length, please tell me where to purchase!!
