I need black stylish trainers for my walk into work. What would these be?

I wear dresses and tights in work so I think black would look the smartest (enen tho it's only actually for the walk in and out, but still..)
I will wear them when i am off work too with both skinny and boyfriend jeans for the odd power walk too when i can be arsed

Any recommendations spring to mind? I have no clue about sports wear at all! Also, i will be buying them today so i need fairly early replies!

Thanks

New Balance 420 come in all black. I often wear mine with a skirt and they're really comfortable to walk in.

Wow thank you for your speedy reply stripytees. I am going to google these now.

Thank you for your help ladies Smile. So i went to Schuh and tried on the New Balance 420's but they didn't have them in my size. But they were lovely. Then I tried on the Puma suede and the Nike's. Loved both but the Nike's were a bit over my budget. Then I tried on these beauties and I was sold Grin. They have memory foam insoles and are lightweight so super dupey comfy and I surprised myself and went for a bit of colour Shock

Good choice OP! I've just bought Skechers trainers (but in a bright colour) for a sight-seeing break, you can't beat them for comfort.

CoconutAmericano · 04/03/2015 18:50

Oh you did right [petal]. Your trotters will thank you. There is nothing worse than trying to enjoy a holiday when your feet are killing you!!
I cannot believe I never noticed before today how many women are out n about in funky trainers always late to the party

Yes Coconut - I often see women in smart office attire wearing trainers on the journey to work. I think they look fine! Its quite an obvious "just wearing these til I get to the office, then I'll slip into my Jimmy Choos" statement, which is far cooler than spending all day in sensible shoes just to accommodate your commute/travelling!

CoconutAmericano · 04/03/2015 18:58

I totally agree

I was going to reply and say I hate trainers unless I'm in the gym but I went on holiday to New York last year and had to cave in. After advice on here I bought a cracking pair of black Skechers, they are lovely, very lightweight, not chunky, and fit like a glove. Well done on your choice.
