Banana Republic Petite sizing

Is it slightly smaller that you'd expect? I am a size 10 in Gap but I have ordered a few Petite size 10 Banana Republic and everything's tight. Or do I need to face facts that a Gap size 10 is more like a 12 in other shops?

Gap sizing is on the generous side in my opinion. I haven't bought anything from BP in a long time, but from what I recall, the petite sizing is quite small. I think I used to go up one size on their jackets.

BR deffo comes up a bit small.

I find Banana Republic petite to be a generous fit.

I think they do assume that you have boobs though, and I don't. So their dresses and tops are massive on me.

Their sloan trousers are a perfect fit though. I buy a size 10 (whetaveer they translate to be a size 10) and I am between a 10 and a 12 in trousers in all other shops.

Ive got a pair of Gap Legging Jeans (I realise its Gap but same company) in a 30 short leg. For some bizarre reason they don't do Short leg online only Petite...Im only 4ft 10 so actually Petite is fine for me so I ordered them in a 30 Petite. When they arrived I actually couldn't get them past my knees!

I think in making them Petite they have made them Petite all over if that makes sense? I emailed them about it and was basically told I was being ridiculous but clearly Im not if you are having the same issue.
