How can I make a tangled (synthetic) wig look decent again?

I am trying to sort out dc's wig for world book day - it has been lying in the dressing up box getting increasingly tangled since last year and I do not want to buy another one! So how do I deal with it and get it back to being straight and glossy?

I read somewhere that the key to getting dolly hair untangled was to use fabric conditioner. Maybe that would work?

There's some videos on youtube and Pinterest on how to detangle dolls hair so it should work for a wig too- good luck!

Fabric conditioner and patience

We mix up some fabric softener in a spray bottle and spray it on and brush through. Works a treat!
