combat or army trousers...can they ever look ok?

recently the idea of getting a nice pair of combats has entered my head, as a change from jeans... I kind of want olive green... is this a very Bad Idea or can they be combined with the right footwear and black jumper?
or do I need to banish the entire idea?

also where from? is the actual army supply shop a possible idea?

There was about three years in the 90s when I did not own a pair of jeans. It was all cords or combats with tight tees. Unfathomable now, for so many reasons :o

I loved my combat trousers. I had some lovely ones from warehouse. I have not seen any for years.

I had some quite thick soft cotton ones, in olive. I want them again.

I just bought some olive green biker skinnies from H and M, mine are maternity ones but they have them in normal person version too.

I can't find them on the website but would these possibly scratch the itch?

I've seen quite a few pairs of trousers that are similar to combats but not as baggy and in a silky material. I have some black Gap ones but Mint Velvet has some nove ones I'm eyeing up at the moment
