Do you know of any cheap silky soft shirts that are not actually silk?

Try uniqlo for cheap silk shirts.

msrisotto · 01/03/2015 19:25

Thanks! Plus, silk needs dry cleaning which is also expensive.

H&M had some for £20 in sale and washable at 30.

The Uniqlo shirt is machine washable

Monsoon usually do one silk blouse each season for cheaper than you'd think and they're machine washable.

I have a polyester shirt from M&S that's very soft and silky (for poly, doesn't feel like silk but is nice) but it was probably nearly as £££ as the Uniqlo silk ones! I think you pay for "nice" MMF...

M and S have some lovely polyester blouses in at the moment.

Nicer in flesh and a lovely bubblegum pink

Paler pink grandad collar I've ordered this one to try

They wash in machine, dry in seconds and stay new looking. And best of all no ironing. Yes you can get cheap silk ones but for me I'd mostly rather polyester, I see silk shirts in the same category as cashmere - pointlessly extravagant and impractical clothing.

Ebay and jaeger outlet have great bargains

msrisotto · 01/03/2015 21:48

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll have to pop into M&S to try those on.
