Work Polo Shirts - can I make it flattering

For one weekend a month for the rest of the year we are doing some exhibitions and the powers that be have decided that we need to look relaxed and approachable so should wear polo shirts

In a choice of bright orange or bright pink.

To add insult to injury they are unisex aertex. Could it get any worse?

Is there any way to redeem this? I think not

Assuming your name refers to the biscuits I'd call squashed flys, and your not a bloke, would you be able to afford to take them to a seamstress and get them altered?
Or, buy a matching colour in a ladies cut?

Otherwise, if your pretty short, you could put a belt round, and call it a dress.

All the above are options I considered when work were threatening to do the same for us. Eventually they caved, and looked into Ladies polos, trousers, and jumpers ('cause the ballsed up - apparently there were no ladies jumpers, but when the M(L) was smaller than the S, I figured there were ladies and blokes jumpers!)

If they need to be logoed Xamax has a good selection of ladies' fit work wear. I have to wear black polo shirts/hoodies/gillet combos. Not a great look but at least not pink or orange...

No advice but I feel your pain, I have to wear a fuchsia pink logo'd polo for events/exhibitions. It is not flattering!

I used to wear my supermarket uniform one with a pencil skirt and heels. I'd bunch it up with a bobble at the back and tuck the bobble in the skirt. Thought I was the bees knees.

I think you could get away with asking if you can have a choice of tops with co logo, fitted short sleeved shirt, fitted hoodie etc, as long as everyone is in the same colour it will look good plus give a bit of individuality, worth an ask before they put the order in ? In answer to your actual question, then no, sorry, unisex polo shirts can never be made to look nice !

Millipede I've tried that and it is a flat out "NO"

They have a stock of unisex polo shirts and that is what you have to wear - not good at a size 16 with big norks!

Can I develop an allergy to the material I wonder????

Any chance these cotton ones are the right colour?

Are they logoed?

Amazon are also quite good if you can find the brand - everything seemed to be available on there when we were being threatened.

Your only choice then is to accessories ! Say your chilly so have to wear a cardi, have a bad neck so have to wear a scarf, they will help to cover it a bit!

Yes I think I'll have to go with milipede's idea and disguise it as much as possible.

Definately get a dressmaker to nip it in around the bra line of size up and get it fitted for you.

I would also wear a pretty cardi over it If allowed. Amazon do cheap enough ones with lace if it's only to wear for a few hours once a month

I'd attack it with a sewing machine, maybe use a top you have that fits well as a guide. If you are representing the company you should wear tidy properly fitting clothes.

Bad luck! I once had a similar situation, and I altered the polo shirt so I could wear it like this. Any good?

Miss that is a nice look, sadly I don't have the figure to carry it off.

A long-line cardigan with skinny fitting sleeves really helps make it more feminine. Either that or a black long-sleeve tshirt underneath. I quite like wearing polo shirts (comfy!) but they are not the most flattering. Beware getting one that is too wide at the shoulders, that's what makes them look dowdy I think. Oh and pink, no question! (Unless it's wishie washie baby pink, then orange all the way!)
