Are these too wide / too hideous?

Ok, so with the 70s flare revival thing going on I ventured into the loft and dug these out of the fancy dress box...

I think I bought these when I was 18 pats on the back for me that they fit 16 years and two kids later but could I get away with them now? The khaki ones are corduroy. With the jeans in particular, I'm not sure if they're a bit too flare-y?

I really like the jeans! I'd belt them but I think they look good. Less keen on cords, they're a bit geography supply teacher.

I think they are excellent! Wish I could get into clothes from back then!

And I wondered that too greengardenpixie I think I probably am a bit thinner (probably because I'm not out drinking like I was back then!) they're a funny length too, too long for flats but too short for my heels. Hmmm.

I'm not keen on the jeans I'm afraid, they need to be a bit longer to work with those shoes.

I like the jeans but they look too big. They'd be more flattering if they fitted on the thighs.

Think the flares that will be in this year are fitted at bum and thighs then flare from the knee.. Don't think those fit the bill plus they look shapeless..

Thanks for the input, they can both go back in the box...maybe next time there is a flares revival I will be bigger and they will fit me again!

I think generally fashion retailers are pretty cunning at ensuring that, when trends come back again, the look is subtly tweaked, so our original versions don't look quite right somehow.

They are both too big I think, especially the jeans. They need to be more fitted on the thighs.
