What is happening to my face?

I finished my wonderful Neals Yard Frankincense oil a week or so back, and am waiting for a new bottle to arrive.

In the meantime, I am doing what I usually do wrt cleansing (hot cloth Elemis/Liz E alternating) etc etc.

I started using the Elemis Pro Marine that I treated myself to on the QVC TSV at Christmas, I've used it before, and never had any problem.

I am PEELING. Literally. I put the ProC on, and then exfoliate with my fingers until the skin has stopped coming off!!!

I thought I was just perhaps very dehydrated, so slapped some Astral on for a few nights but it's still doing it. And when I come to put foundation on, that just peels off too.

I know that everything will be OK once I get my beloved NY oil back, but I'm a bit grumpy at the Elemis, because I love the smell and it is £££s.

I doubt it is your skin! It's more likely you're experiencing a roll- off phenomenon which is actually the product balling up.

I'm so glad you mentioned the PCMC, it was my HG moisturiser until the last pot I received from QVC which was really horrible in texture. It might be the silicones in the product that are making it ball up on your face.

Have you changed primer or foundation too?

The PCMC seems quite watery somehow?

Haven't changed primer or foundation. Primer, I have about 5 [blush[ always looking for that HG The foundation is Clarins True Radiance at the moment, and I've had it since Christmas with no problems.

It's very odd. And I'm mad because the QVC 30 days are blimmin' up.

It's probably the silicones in the PCMC. This happened to me recently with an Olay moisturiser that had added SPF and I was horrified! It meant when I buffed in my foundation with a brush I had a severe case of facial dandruff!!

I've switched to Lancôme Visionnaire gel cream moisturiser and its fine again. That's how I know it isn't your face, it's your product
