It seems like an impossible dream- dh has completely given up and just freezes Hmm

I mostly just go for cotton knitwear, but it really isn't warm enough.

Is there an answer?

Merino wool? It's my favourite find of the year. I'm fed up with throwing out jumpers every season :(

Is merino better, I was admiring some merino cardigans from woolovers the other day.

Merino is really warm.

The woolovers might be a mix of cashmere and merino which do pill. I bought three merino cardigans from kettlewell and not a pill in sight.

I hear you. I love cashmere but the maintenance is hard work. Hmm
I have 2 very fine knit jumpers from reiss which have been worth their (considerable) money as they still look good.

Other than them, linen knits work well. Nothing with angora. I've just ebayed 3 lovely tops after one wear as they bobbled so badly I knew I wouldn't be able to put up with it.

They all go a bit bobbly, mine have taken a new lease of life with this though
