Compact powder that doesn't break up?

I've been using Rimmel Clear Complexion compact powder for many years now, but recently they always seem to break up when not too far through it. This gets way too messy for me, so I throw them away, making it very expensive!

Any recommendations for a good compact powder that doesn't break up? I don't mind spending a little more if I know it is good. Maybe up to £10. I prefer compact to loose powder.

At the moment I use No 7 Stay Perfect foundation with the compact. I like to go for a very matte effect as I get very socially anxious, which leads to a red and damp face! Blush

Thanks!

Try the BD Trade Secrets one step powder foundation from Tesco ( the recently reformulated Barbara Daly range). Brilliant , quite sheer, and I have not found that it breaks up. Now on my third compact . Good value and often on 3 for 2. Hope this helps ! I have tried loads of powder compacts and this is by far the best I think .

Estée Lauder double wear . Great coverage and hasn't broken yet. Not sure how much it was though as it takes me ages to get through .

Re-reading your post OP, you might prefer Clinique's Almost Powder makeup ( in a compact) - denser, more coverage and a matte finish for sure . I have had one for a long time , so it lasts without breaking up .

A bit more expensive, but a baked foundation rather than liquid then a matte powder on top, is Laura Geller Balance & Brighten. Can be pricey when bought alone, but qvc do fantastic value sets.

Thanks all. I'll look into those. Flowers
