Magic product to shrink pores

Does one exist? I saw my nose in close-up today and my pores are unattractively large. I use a Simple cleanser which my skin seems to like.

Any suggestions? As my use of a Simple product indicates, I don't like spending much on beauty products usually, I would think around £10 would be my limit.

It won't get rid of them and it's very over priced. . But benefit porefessional disguises mine very well, blurs them out more than anything.

What's the rest of your skincare routine?

I bought maybelline baby pore (I think it's called) and it was good and not to expensive

Drink loads of water. I've tried a few products with varying success.

Skyn Pore Minimiser (M&S). Pricey but the best product Ive used. Better than Maybelline, Benefit, etc. Also rather dull but yep, the more water you can drink the better, it really does make a difference.

even the skincare 'professionals' say that pores cannot be opened and closed like doors.

presumably anyone seeing your nose in extreme close up is likely to have other things on their mind. Anyone further away won't see.

if you are a movie-star or a pop-singer your photos will be retouched. Check out the recent ones of Beyonce to see how much difference this makes.

in short - non-problem.

Interesting variety of views! I cleanse morning and night with Simple cleanser, sporadically using and exfoliating cleanser, some cheap natural product. Moisturise straight after with a day cream/night cream.

Saw an ad for microdermabrasion today that promised to work on pores (the word is starting to make me feel squeamish) and felt tempted, even though it's £200 for 5 sessions.

Garner blackhead daily facial scrub/exfoliate is really good. It's made a difference to my pore size. It's the one in and Orange and White tube with a black label. Cheap too!

Maybelline dream matte mousse covers mine. Only foundation that does and isn't heavy. Conceal I think is the only way.

I have recently started using loreal laser renew serus and night cream and no joke in a week of use my skin looks great, smooth, less wrinkly looking and more even but best of all when I look in my magnifying mirror the pores all look smaller and very clean no more grey pores. amazed.

Misslgl88 · 26/02/2015 14:31

I also use benefit the porefessional and found it lovely and made a big difference to the pores on my nose

Skin care routine wise I like benefit foamingly clean wash and their scrub followed by their eye cream and facial emulsion
