I have a bit of cellulite on back of my thighs and bum. Any tips to reduce or get rid? I'm healthy bmi so no need to lose any actual weight.

Do the cellulite brushes work?

Someone must have a miracle cure!

I remember I asked this before and got lots of responses telling me to stop eating crap and lose weight!Shock I wasn't a bit fat!!
So I'll be pleased to see if you get any tips. Someone did mention dry brushing on my thread, I bought a brush but didn't stick with it...

Cut out all processed food, junk food, refined carbs, sugar, alcohol and coffee.

Eat of lots of vegetables, fruit, pulses, nuts, whole grains, lean white meat.

Exercise every day, if possible do spot muscle work on the cellulite areas, drink loads of water, massage your cellulite with a cellulite massager.

This will get rid of it and keep it away.

I trained as a massage therapist many moons ago. Before our assessments, I had a full body massage every week for about 10 weeks. Visibly improved my cellulite, and we were only using almond oil, no fancy products.

You don't need to be overweight fat but if you've more fat than muscle in the cellulite areas then that's what's causing it.
The only way to get rid of it is to increase muscle to smooth out the skin leaving very little room for the cellulite fat to sit there.
Combined with watching what you eat and staying hydrated it does work.
Brushing, lotions and potions will make the skin on top appear smoother but the problem lies much deeper.

I think exercise helps. Mine disappeared after a walking holiday. It came back, but less so than it had been, a couple of years later.

More recently, I did the first few weeks of C25K. Even though I did it rather halfheartedly, my cellulite reduced.

Even though I'm not overweight by cutting out sugar and processed foods and body brushing plus something like the 30 day shred got rid of it for me. Basically a detox and lots of squats..

Running is my miracle cure, along with drinking loads of water and not eating any processed food.
If you've got no weight to lose, you won't. You'll just tone up.

If I spend too much time sitting down I get cellulite on the tops of my thighs. Walking/running help, as does not having an office job!

freshbakedcakes · 25/02/2015 12:22

Urgh that's not good to hear Bonsoir as I have a full-time office job. Am active at the weekends though and go for long walks/hit the gym..
Going to up my water intake as I know I'm naughty for that anyway.
Go for a run 1-2 times a week on top of gym and also start a 30 day squat challenge.
Have ordered a dry body brush.

Only a few months til my bikini holiday and I hope to have seen some results by then.

no evidence at all that anything works, except massage which has a temporary effect. A scrubbing brush will work as well as something with an expensive French name.

remember that cellulite is just what some people have as normal skin texture.

OttiliaVonBCup · 25/02/2015 13:16

Lots of cardio and I swear Clarins Tonic oil works.
Massage on damp skin and shower with cold water afterwards.

Magic.
Tough, but magic.

Twinklestein · 25/02/2015 14:34

I don't need scientific evidence to tell me I got rid of the cellulite I had developed & I've kept it off.

I don't find brush brushes work - but massage brushes do - you need to do it daily.
