Clarks Orla Kiely shoes- keep or return?

I was feeding my 20 week old in the middle of the night and was browsing the internet, I saw the Beatrice and Betty shoes and ordered them. They have just arrived. Although they look a little strange on the website they are beautiful and will look great with jeans, linen trousers etc. , I think! they are a little high but feel amazing on.
My dilemma:
I'm very large after having baby so shoes are the only thing that I feel great in until I lose a huge amount of weight (currently 17 + stone ??) but they aren't cheap. I can just about afford and have not bought new shoes or any clothes in fact, since Christmas 2013 as I was waiting to see if pregnancy increased my foot size and it hasn't this time, but rest of me has increased in size.
Would you keep both, one pair or return? Will do what mumsnet jury decides.
Finally, are they lovely or awful? Have no fashion sense at all at the moment and just need advice. Including clothes and weight loss. (Lost cause I feel).
Thank you x

I have ordered the blue ones Blush They didnt have them in clarks in my size but found them on another website! Just hope they arent too high for me.

The height is deceptive because of the platform. Believe me, I CANNOT walk in anything over 2.5 inches normally, but these are surprisingly wearable. Mind you, haven't tried them long-haul as yet...

Now, I don't like open toe sandals, I don't usually go for such high heels and I usually take an out of stock size. Oh and I would normally look to pay less for a Clarks shoe. But I'm really tempted to order one of the remaining blue Betties, to see if it will fit...

What is also holding me back however is that I ordered one of these at a bargain price in the sale, but it was too heavy for my foot and half slid off at each step. Maybe I'll just walk away from the Orla Kielies..

There's been some complaint about the Orla shoes coming up big. I ordered a pair last season and could only get a half size bigger (they were out of my size everywhere and I REALLY wanted them). When they arrived they were like canoes...seriously, not a half size bigger at all, but massively big. I am a 6 and I bought a 6 in the Betty. They are a little bit bigger than normal Clarks shoes imo, but not too bad at all. My sister has 4 pairs now (I know, I know) and finds them all true to size.

Being big is a good thing for me. I have inherited bunions Blush and need a bit of width really. I have got the orla kiely Dorothy ones in navy. The fit fine. They are gorgeous. They do annoy me a little when i bend my foot [ not at the toe but in a strange place, where you bend your toes when you walk] I will persevere though. They are very beautiful.

Ack, the Dorothy were the ones I wanted...but I'm not paying ebay prices for them Angry

Greengardenpixie · 03/03/2015 17:12

Ebay annoys me when i think that people buy up the last few and then sell at ridiculous prices on there. Very very irritating.

herecomesthsun · 03/03/2015 17:30

size 3 Dorothy

Greengardenpixie · 04/03/2015 21:10

My lovely shoes came and OMG they are stunning!! They are also so comfy and perfect for my wide feet!! Love them!

Goodmum1234 · 09/03/2015 23:10

I've kept both pairs ??but bloody love them. Yes they are high but very comfy. My feet have grown since having children but they fit like a glove. Thanks for all replies and chat x
