Calling the bra gurus- does this sound right?

I need to buy a decent nursing bra. I have attempted to measure myself (I live in the sticks so mail order is my only option, and I need to get it right first time ideally).

So, I think I measure 31 around the rib cage and 37 around the bust. Would a 32E be my best bet do you think?

TIA

I'm not a guru but will help bump. Remember to add at least one cup size for when your milk comes in.

Bravado do some crop top style nursing bras that are great for the first few days and weeks.

Did you measure round the bust without any clothes on, and bent over at right angles?

Northernexile · 24/02/2015 12:06

Milk is in, DD is 13 weeks. Have been wearing old bras from last time and they aren't great tbh. I didn't bend over though, think they may hit the floor if I do that!

Sorry - assumed you were planning ahead.

If you have wired bras that fit (or want to go back to wired bras) you can convert them really easily to drop cup with kits from eBay. It's easy peasy.

CMOTDibbler · 24/02/2015 12:19

Yup, well if they hit the floor, that what it takes to get an accurate sizing as the tissue all moves forward at the level it should be in a bra. Standing up, it can escape the tape measure Smile

I will try on some old bras and try the bending over measurement and report back (if I can put DD down, ever). Thanks for your help so far!

Ok, have done the dangle, and it looks like 38 and a bit round the bust. I'm now guessing 32F?

Yup, or a 30FF depending on bra/you.

I think Brastop do free returns so you could try a couple of sizes. Hopefully statistically and the other proper bra gurus will come and advise further

Thanks! I've got an Amszon voucher and have my eye on a hotmilk one. Think I'll try a 32F as a 30 just sounds too small.
