How do I achieve this? Hair! With pics!

other than by going to a mega expensive hair salon - how would I go from me (first photo!) to photo B (second photo if this uploady thing works!)

Is any hair dye better than others? I just usually pick what's on special offer!

I would be really grateful for any tips (and I've got some fake tan at the ready too!)

You won't be able to achieve that at home on your own.
Home bleaches are very harsh and offer no subtlety. If you look at Caroline Stanbury's hair she has lots of shade of blonde going through it, not just one blanket colour.

I think you either need to get it done professionally or - if you can't afford it - get a hairdresser to take you back to your natural colour and then maintain it at home from there.

Home dying brown hair is a lot easier than blonde because you're not dealing with the harshness of the bleach.

Bugger. I was afraid that might be the case. I don't think I can cope with going brown (I haven't seen my natural hair colour since I was 11!) but will call the local salon and see if they can book me in.

I want to look a bit more expensive than I do at the moment, if that makes sense?!

Sorry, didn't mean to make you sad but I do think blonde is very hard to do, without looking harsh, with home kits.

It's a great hairdo though and will suit you. And if you get some darker shades threaded through then it makes the root regrowth less obvious.

Ahh, i was being silly - im not sad really! (I wanted someone to say - ahh yes, that colour is box 234 from nice n easy. Leave it on 23 mins and you will be transformed!)
