hi
i can no longer afford to have a colour at a salon - im a natural dark brown. i had a semi permanent about 2 months ago at a salon which was a rich purple, my hair is still quite "red".

i want to colour it myself a chocolate brown colour. i dont have much grey hair but i had a semi permanent because my hair was quite porous from being bleached blonde for a few years.

its looking in much better condition and is shiny again - but its looking faded and tired and i need a good home colour kit.

what should i go for?
ive always had permanent colour before this last semi permanent.

I love the john frieda mousse, it's permanent and I use 4bg but every time I go to the hairdressers they always comment on what a lovely colour it is and how natural it looks

Garnier nutrisse. My hair looks so healthy after it.

John Freida mousse as marymouse said. My hairdresser even commented it looked good. All the new mousse dyes seem pretty foolproof to be honest. Not sure I would have ever coloured my own hair before they were around.
