Lancôme Miracle Cushion foundation

This was on my wish list but after trying it today I was a bit disappointed. Coverage was ok, texture felt nice and velvety rather than gooey and dewy (no relation to Donald Duck) but other than that I didn't think it worth the nearly £30 price tag.

Anyone else tried it?

I was hoping it would be my HG foundation. So far that accolade goes to Japonesque Velvet Touch.

I took a chance and ordered just the refill for £19 online to try it first and it arrived today. I was actually quite impressed and the colour was spot on. I usually find that after an hour or so, any foundation usually settles in fine lines, but I didn't have any of that. I'm also quite oily though and it didn't seem to help with that, but didn't make it any worse than usual. Will try again with different primers, but think I may splash out on the full compact next time.

I bought it because I am such a sucker for anything new. Think it will be great for days when I just want a light coverage, when I'm not really going out and therefore don't put a full face of make up on, but don't want to scare people if I need to pop out or open the door to the postie.

Have you tried YSL Fusion Ink?

No Mara but the reviews look good. Have you?

Sali Hughes is reviewing these type of foundations in the Guardian today. May be worth a read.

Tried the lancome foundation yesterday and it's really lovely. Great colour (01 for me) and a really soft, dewy coverage. Like it.
