How do you clean your hairbrush?

I used to have a special skinny brush for cleaning my hairbrush. It was just the right size and shape for getting all the hair out and then you could use it to lather up some shampoo between the bristles and clean off any gunk.

It's broken now and I haven't found a new one. What do you do?

I get a comb and sort of slide it teeth down between the bristles and drag hair and bits out that way, but it's not brilliant, and I end up picking stuff out with my fingernails. I'd love to know where the skinny brush cleaning brush comes from!

I got it in Boots years ago, it was great!

I think I've answered my own question now! Why I didn't think of searching Amazon I don't know! Anyway, it's this sort of thing. Think I'll order this one and see how I get on.

Use a comb to pull off any hair then use a mild shampoo applied directly to the bristles, lathered by hand and "massaged" between them. Then rinse with warm water and leave to air dry naturally.

I use Mason & Pearson hair brushes which come with a "mini cleaner brush" but I never use it and chuck it out. Too wide toothed to be effective.
