Please recommend me some skinny jeans under £40

Am a size 8-10, 5ft 3. Have skinny calves but normal size thighs and a c-section hangover could possibly just be muffin top so would like a mid rise.

I don't like Next as have spent a fortune there only for the jeans to be about 10 sizes bigger after a few washes.

Any high street recommendations that I can try on?

New Look Supersoft super skinny are great. They're about £20.

I like the m&s super skinny or jeggings.

Definitely oasis. Great skinny jeans and they don't stretch it look like mommy jeans

Topshop Jamie are my favourite skinny jeans (denim). I also like the Joni jeans which are more like jeggings and more high waisted.

crappy are the M&S jeggings still good? I missed the boat when they were really popular and recently have seen people saying they are no longer as good as they were?

MsBojangles do you get the Asos Ridley high waisted or just normal?

Bizarrely my favourites are from Sainsbury, the Gok Wan ones, £28 and often a 25% off promotion.

Try the Dorothy Perkins Eden jeggings-am always recommending them here, but they're high at the top and pull everything in, tummy and muffin top!

I second m&s super skinny (note the jeans not the jeggings). They have a buttock-lifting shaping effect and I have no issues getting them over my mum-tum. Just bought some really nice ones with patches on the knees, quite edgy for m&s I thought! I am 8-10 also by the way

I like the Gok Wan ones from Sainsburys too. I have a pair of the skinnies and a pair of the jeggings - wear them both loads, they wash really well and very good value.

I think they're all pretty high waisted, that's the style of the Ridley - size up if you're going for black, they're much smaller.

Another one for New Look. Great washes, stretchy but not saggy. Not very high rise but not hipsters. I'm 5ft2 and they waist is about 3 cm below my belly button.

French Connection are great too - always have your size in the sale. I've just got the eleven pocket navy rinse and they are amazing. Used FC for years and they never fade! You'd have to role them up though.

New look for me too. I'm a size 8-10 also with average/large thighs in comparison and really like new look. The waist isn't high but high enough. I can't wear river island their size 8 are far too small but size 10's fall down after a few wears/washes.

I have New Look high rise ones that I'm living in at the moment. They're great and good value too.

I like the M&S jeggings in the really pale blue and the black. The others are not as good.

Right tomorrow I will do a New Look, Topshop and M&S sweep! What is Marks & Spencer sizing like?

Will also order some Asos Ridleys as they seem to get a lot of time on blogs.

Monsoon Nadine skinny jeans are gorgeous. High waist, lovely soft material, great fit. I own four pairs!
