Epilator advice please...

Never posted in S&B before but here goes...

I have PCOS and pretty awful facial hair below the jawline, waxing works v well but I cannot afford it (needs to be done once a week), nor can I find the time to get there regularly. Laser treatment is not a consideration due to the cost, my pale skin/hairs and the fact that the hair growth is hormone driven and according to some of the ladies who've tried it on some of the chin hair threads it won't be a permanent solution anyway.

I'm currently plucking randomly with tweezers whilst watching TV to get rid of the worst but this is pretty unsatisfactory.

So, I've been wondering about epilators. I've looked at the Braun 810 facial epilator but could a regular sized epilator work just as well? At least I could then use on my legs too.

Any advice welcome!

TIA

I've been epilating for a few years now, and it's my preferred method for hair removal, but I did shell out for a specific facial one in addition to my bigger one. The reason is that the facial ones are targeted for smaller areas and I personally find that facial work can be more ouchy simply because we have more nerves in that area and the skin is thinner. The bigger ones come with a shield for bikini line/underarm, etc, but the surface area is still larger than I'd be comfortable with on my face and would not negotiate the curves of it as efficiently.

I'm not sure if there are any specific contraindications of using a big one for your jawline, though.

My epilator has separate heads for body, bikini/underarm, and face. I've never used it on my face though so can't vouch for how well it works. I think it's this one.
