jersey blazer for job interview?

I need a blazer/smart jacket for a job interview (office/admin type roles). My budget is max £25 and I noticed a lot of the blazers (HM etc) are jersey only?
Is that smart enough? Will be wearing a smart slim fit trouser and a blouse and loafers otherwise.

It all depends on the type of office your local area etc. Have you any idea of how the others dress there?

No firm interview yet. Just goibg through redundancy and started jobhunting and want to sort out an interview outfit so I am ready to go.

won't be going for anything highflying though in the city. I live pretty rural.

I'd play it safe and not go for jersey.

It totally depends on the industry as to whether a jersey blazer would be suitable. Go one step smarter than the usual dress code of the office. My only blazers are jersey, from Whistles, and I would wear with exactly as you describe and think that was fine for all but maybe the most formal accountancy, law or banking places, and even then it would depend on the firm or the role you are going for. You can also get use out of a jersey blazer for casual outfits after, whereas a smarter blazer is only really interview appropriate.
The only thing for that price is for it not to look too cheap. Maybe consider changing the buttons to get the right look? Or look on eBay for a Whistles or Jaeger blazer. I recently sold a navy Whistles jersey blazer for about £30 barely worn which would be perfect and much better quality than a H&M one. (I buy loads from eBay by the way, I'm not saying my budget is bigger than yours, I just like to get the best I can!)

Good luck with your job search.
