100 percent polyester suit?

I need a smart suit for an interview and really like the jenni jacket from hobbs which goes with the Juliet dress and skirt.
Sorry I can't link. It is quite expensive for me, nearly 400 for three suit items.
I now realise it is 100 per cent polyester.
I think it looks good but does the material mean it is not smart enough?

For me, the material would mean that it's not worth 400 quid.

Sorry, but 400 pounds for a polyester suit sounds crazy to me.

I would think that it wouldn't look smart enough or expensive enough in the flesh to justify £400. I'm sure you could get something better and longer lasting for that money. I suppose it would be machine washable tjough?

Hobbs are really taking the piss with their polyester items and high prices.

Good points. I really like the tailored, collarless jacket. Where could I find one in a better material?

Yep, I have a number of Hobbs suits from the last five years or so - all 100% wool. Now they are charging the same prices for yucky polyester.

Jaegar?

I'd be looking at Banana Republic and J crew (THANKME gets you 20% off). J crew is more £££ than BR, but their styling is better. You may also have luck at Austin Reed and Jigsaw.
