I'm 47 with pretty good skin looking for something not to heavy to just sort of brighen and even out skin tone. Something high street would be great but could extend to more expensive if it was really worth it. My skin isn't overly dry so I don't want anything too rich or too heavily pigmented.

I'm in love with Stilla CC cream. here at QVC

It's excellent buildable coverage, spf and just evens out skin tone. I'm really, really happy with it. IT comes out green but immediately blends in with natural skin tone. I don't love the smell but it's not intrusive.

It also gets great reviews on Makeup Alley and Paula's Choice.

I left my regular Bobbi Brown foundation at home and had to buy something on the hop one day. I got the Revlon photo ready BB cream and have actually been rather impressed with it. Not so much that I will downgrade from Bobbi but it's great for days I need/want less coverage.

TheFallenMadonna · 19/02/2015 07:58

I like La Roche Posay BB cream. It just sort of smoothes things over. I don't like foundation particularly.

summerlovingliz · 19/02/2015 08:05

Dior CC cream is lovely

ihatethecold · 19/02/2015 09:54

Liz Earle tinted moisturiser is great for my skin.
Stays on quite well and makes me look healthy.
I can look sallow naturally.

Datahub · 19/02/2015 09:56

Chanel vitalumiere. Even the bobbi brown woman said she rated it

WagonWheel · 19/02/2015 10:19

My everyday BB is from a Korean brand called Erborian - available at SpaceNK. Fantastic SPF and truly blends into my skin. It's available in different forms: light (basically the same as the original, imo) and Dore which is for warmer skin tones, although it won't suit women of colour. Sells itself on the notion of having ginseng in it for brightening, and the coverage is excellent if you've not much to hide. You can buy a smaller size tube for around £15 which lasts the best part of 6 months for me.
Alternatively, and I've recc'd this before is Pixi's H20 skin tint which also has amazing coverage and leaves a beautiful dewiness on the skin.

Hoppinggreen · 19/02/2015 10:37

I like the YSL bb cream

ZacharyQuack · 19/02/2015 10:46

NARS Tinted Moisturiser is lovely.

SwearySwearyQuiteContrary · 19/02/2015 10:48

Napoleon Perdis BBB cream is great.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 19/02/2015 10:50

Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser for me, I'm 47 with uneven skin tone too. Evens everything up, looks totally natural and loads of shades to choose from (you'll need to go to a LM counter)

HazleNutt · 19/02/2015 11:53

Everybody who has tried my Chanel Les Beiges has been a total convert. It's great if you have a good skin - makes it from good to perfect. It's very light and you can just slap it on, no need for complicated blending.

God, I love the Eborian one too - not used anything else since I picked this up.

TheGirlInTheGlass · 19/02/2015 12:04

Ren Satin Perfection BB Cream- every time. It's so subtle that it's like your own skin, just better.
www.renskincare.com/p/3609/
You need very little, as a pea-sized blog does your whole face, and although you can get areas that it might look a little thick or orange in, such as swipe marks from where you rub, just patting them melts them in, and it adapts to your skintone as it dries.
Also, they sell it at M&S now (!) so you can grab a tube when you next nip out.

Boots botanics radiant youth BB cream

Judydreamsofhorses · 19/02/2015 16:10

I also love the Chanel Les Beiges fluid, and highly recommend the Dior Glow Maximizer, which is a primer rather than a tinted moisturiser, but can be used on its own. I think the Dior is my favourite product of last year.

Kennington · 19/02/2015 21:41

Loreal skin perfection perk up cream. I mix it with my usual moisturiser and it makes me look healthier.

Almost no coverage though so I sometimes need to use a little concealer

Cheesymonster · 19/02/2015 22:19

Dr Jart bb cream. Boots sell it. Four different types but I use "platinum". I'm 39.

TheMightyMing · 19/02/2015 22:24

I have said it before but LOreal Nude Magique Cc - I use 'anti dullness' version as I am a bit sallow. I am 44 ( first time I have written my age since my birthday last week!) , and I have all but given up wearing my Clinique foundation.

It's a white runny paste but goes on as a light tint. I think it's fantastic and it's only a tenner!

WagonWheel · 19/02/2015 22:57

Thanks for reminding me about the Ren one, TheGirlInTheGlass! I got this as part of a kit over Xmas and I really liked it. As you say, it needs a bit more blending than others I've tried as it's initially a little warmer toned than my skin but the finish is lovely.

AesopsMables · 19/02/2015 23:48

Bobby Brown BB cream user here. Have been for a few years now and cannot fault it, lovely on and good staying power.

Winter; Natural
Summer; Medium

I am a 'Summer' colouring

itsaysonthetin · 20/02/2015 08:18

Go for one of the south korean brands. They invented BB and CC cream, and still have the best formula's - especially for price ratio.

I've never found either foundations or tinted moisturisers disappearing, but I don't look all that closely in a mirror again until I take it off. Maybe some people's skin is more prone to it than others, mine is quite dry.
