Why are all hobo bags so enormous?

It seems impossible to find a nice slouchy hobo style bag that isn't enormous!

I have just bought (and am sending back) a Georgia bag from Peony and Moore. Looks gorgeous but just too big for me.

Where can I look? I've tried John Lewis' website, what other brands are there? I could spend up to about £200.

You need a lot of space to store your bindle.

Found this on The Outnet - within budget and I think its a fantastic colour but may not be the most practical... not exactly a neutral... and i'm not sure how big too big is?
Did you have a specific colour/ maximum size in mind?

Thanks, that's exactly the sort of shape I want but I'm not keen on the studs and I want a more neutral-y colour.
