Petticoat for wedding - help!

I think the petticoat I have for my wedding day is not bouffy enough, but I can't seem to find any straight answers when I research.

I have a House of Mooshki Holly and a standard 26 inch petticoat from ebay. But I tried on the petticoat today with a similar dress and it doesn't look as full as I'd like.

So my questions are - does the 26 inch refer to fullness or length or what??
And - can you recommend me somewhere I could order a fuller underskirt?

Thanks!

yy, the ebay / cheaper petticoats aren't very full at all, they often don't move very nicely either. You'll need to layer 2 or 3 of the sort you have or invest in a good one. I have one of these, it's lovely and full and moves beautifully too.

26 inch is indeed the length.

Thank you MrsLettuce - they look lovely and a totally worth while investment (especially when compared to the dress Blush.

But they don't have the colour I need!
Any other tips for a royal blue petticoat?

I have a Hell Bunny petticoat which is the same style as the one linked below. It was around £30 but it's so full, soft and fluffy. Worth checking to see if they have the colour you want.

The hell bunny ones are certainly good but not as full as the ones VoH sells. They do come in other colours - I'll have a look what the brand is and get back to you.

Have it. They are made by Sam's - Style 835.

Oh I see, the ones sold by VofH are made by Sams?
I have found the colour I need which is good news. And a stockist in the UK who wI'll only take orders via phone or post. Unusual!
So I'll give them a call in the morning. As the only other stockist I cam see is in the States and I always end up getting stung!

Thank you so much for your help Smile

Squeeee indeed!

Is teh petticoat full enough for you? I always feel nervous when people order on my say-so Hmm

ThursdayLast · 21/02/2015 13:01

Yes it feels much fuller than that picture looks IYSWIM. I had to creep around in it to stop all the rustling and brushing up against the landing walls waking up DS Grin

The weddng dress holds its own weight much better than the blue one - so I think it's going to be amazing.

Thank you for averting a last minute panic. Now, who do you know that does suits that will fit a fat but tall 2yo? ConfusedWink

Yeah, I did wonder if the cut of the blue dress was squishing/restricting it a bit - the skirt isn't really as full as the petticoat needs.

Not really sure on the child suit front I'm afraid!
