Well someone had to do it as my last post was number 999...

OP posts:
motherinferior · 10/03/2015 08:08

I am a big Nashville fan.

BD, go for it.

Rosebag · 10/03/2015 08:31

Heavens poor BD auriga and other poorlies. I am having breakfast at the hotel after not too bad night. Co tutor has just phoned me to say she decided at the last minute to drive up first thing and is on the road. Can you imaging what a crock of shite I'd have been in if I'd accepted the offer to also stay with her friend/contact ?
Trying to stick to diet...not easy in hotels....

To get to Australasia in my life time

To perform Vissi D'arte

To upgrade flat to beachside 1930s house with swimming pool and hot tub and a twenty something butler in your dreams Rosie

To see the northern lights

To go back up the CN tower in Toronto
on our 25th anniversary for dinner with DH and try not to be so scared so this time can eat something.

To swim with the dolphins

To inadvertently eat something very un kosher and revel in the naughtiness.

motherinferior · 10/03/2015 08:57

Poor old DD1 is off. And it's a day when I have to zip around and take her sister to a rehearsal and then go back out to the concert...she is lying in bed coughing pathetically and playing on her phone. She is hardly ever off sick, poor love.

bigTillyMint · 10/03/2015 08:58

To upgrade flat to beachside 1930s house with swimming pool and hot tub and a twenty something butler - in mine too!

hattymattie · 10/03/2015 09:08

MI - commiserations to DD. Mine is feeling much better today although a bit light headed. She has insisted on going to school even though she ate nothing yesterday. I have driven her in and will collect as I fear the school bus may finish her off.

I'll going to get ahead and cook now - aubergine lasagne tonight.Smile

motherinferior · 10/03/2015 09:29

Poor darling, she's lying in bed coughing faintly and nearly asleep.

BTW, Ladyjogging is paying off - I am a bit lighter, and quite a lot thinner. So reckon all in all I must have lost a fair bit of fat, given that muscle is Dense and Heavy.

Today I have a pile of small features I must try either to shift or to sort.

lalsy · 10/03/2015 09:36

Well done MI on ladyjogging. And Crem on TofT. We loved those Scandi crime things too.

Yeah, Rose, BTM and I will share your dreams.

I love outdoor swimming too Crem. Iceland was fab for swimming in odd places.

hattymattie · 10/03/2015 10:34

I have noticed I have two lumps of fat just under my boobs - at the base of my ribs which are very difficult to shift.

bigTillyMint · 10/03/2015 11:10

I am not feeling thin.
But I am feeling relatively fit - my colleague who runs our training sessions made us all do a fit-test yesterday, including the beep test, burpees and the plank amongst other stuff. I managed 2 and a half minutes on the plank and didn't do too badly on the beep testShock

I need to CUT BACK on the foodSad

MollyAir · 10/03/2015 11:27

Oooh, well done on the plank, BTM, and the beep test. And belated well done to Rose on the loss of 3 lb, and to MI on thinness. I need to get back in the gym. Blush

I have been looking at Silver Grey Sports Club, partly for MI and partly for me and dh, although naturally we are FAR TOO YOUNG as yet:

www.silvergreysportsclub.com/

NUFC69 · 10/03/2015 12:13

I can't believe how many Crepeys are still not well and Auriga in particular many commiserations.

I am still not really losing weight but the exercise is paying off as I can now just about get into some of last summer's clothes. Yesterday morning I swam for an hour and then did an hour's aquarobics (followed by a lunch out with Dd and family Sad ).

We have DGC for the day (and the weather is nice for a change) so we're going to the park later. DH and DGS1 are in the conservatory trying to get the Scalextric to work (with little success) and DGD2 is asleep in her cot so I have a few moments to spare.

I like swimming outside and am looking forward to the hot springs in Canada when we go - not sure how big they are but am happy to just lie and wallow!

cremolafoam · 10/03/2015 13:16

Mm, hot springs NU- yes yes. Envy

Off to ruddy physio now for traction. S t r e t c h.........

Sorry for all the poorly dds and Bds dh.

CointreauVersial · 10/03/2015 13:20

First post-cold ladyjog completed today, egged on by the bin-men as I approached the house, puffing and red-faced. Blush

I'm very impressed by all the crepey weight-loss - 9lbs, Rose - wow. I seem to be merely "stabilising" here.

BTM - yes, it was extremely funny finding out about DSM's rebellious foray into the world of drugs, particularly as she is very proper, middle-class and conservative (in more ways than one)..... DDad would have flipped if he'd known.

DH's lovely Aunty's funeral the week after next is turning into a massive family event, with the entire posse coming over from Ireland, and we are under pressure to take the DCs out of school for the day to attend. The Irish do like a good send off! We will have BIL/SIL for the weekend before, which is fine, but I'm a little bit (and very selfishly) cross that we have had to cancel a long-standing dinner date with old friends as it coincides with their arrival. Ah well.

Rosebag · 10/03/2015 13:55

I am not aiming for thinness ....... Just a little bit less fatness. NU you pack a huge amount in to your day on top of being lovely grandPs!!
hatty your DD is a trooper! And aubergine lasagne sounds delicious ( but maybe she should have clear soup and dry toast!!!... What my DM used to feed me after horrid sickness. )
Good luck with the traction cremo. Sounds like mediaeval torture!

On train back to the smoke. Just past Rugby. Somewhat tired and backachey and its only 2pm.

motherinferior · 10/03/2015 15:06

I have shifted around a lot of mini-features but have finished virtually none today. Have to talk to a pet behaviourist tomorrow, btw. Shall I ask him about Dylan?

bigTillyMint · 10/03/2015 15:15

Rose, my DM used to feed me white fish poached in milk when I was ill

Rosebag · 10/03/2015 16:02

Grin Tilly yes we got that too but not just after throwing up…a few days later to tempt the appetite (it was vile)….

Home at last. I do so love coming home …particularly as no one else will be back for at least an hour Smile

CV wouldn't they understand?

herbaceous · 10/03/2015 16:44

What ho crepeys. DS had his unpleasant eye-moulding mini-op this afternoon, but with the promise of a Real Actual light sabre to see him through, he was a trooper. Now home, and he's having a jolly time using the Force all round the house.

I also gave him a voice-changing Darth Vader mask, which is totally ace. Especially to put on and say mundane phrases through, such as 'I'll have the penne arrabbiata', or 'Table for two, under the name Vader. Come to think of it, might be under Darth'.

Failing rather to stick to the 5:2, so am giving low-carbing a go. Thought it should be easier than last time, as now I don't eat wheaty stuff anyway so have had something of a change to the diet. Tricky to find things to eat when out and about, however.

motherinferior · 10/03/2015 17:17

Good for the Boy Herb.

I have schlepped DD2 to her concert rehearsal - was so easy she can do it herself next time - and come back and am trying to get hold of someone to interview before going back to actual concert...

herbaceous · 10/03/2015 17:21

DP downstairs cooking banana muffins, DS's tea, and shortly chicken and fennel. Marvellous.

BTM - most impressed with your plank abilities. I can manage about 20 seconds before I start quaking at 9 on the Richter Scale.

I too forsee a sickness upon this house. All DS's schoolfriends have been off with spewing, so surely it can't be long now. I shall unearth Brian the Bucket. Or his close friend, Walter the Washing Up Bowl.

cremolafoam · 10/03/2015 17:31

Oh Herbs, good for Ds- a storm trooper he is! I did splurt my tea at your postGrinGrin

Medieval torture complete- it was lovely while it lasted. As it pulls the vertebrae apart the pressure lifts, like a headache slowly vanishing. Bliss. It like 8 minutes of complete relaxation. Now sadly back to my haggard crumpled shape. Confused

I am making pistachio frozen yogurt-almost fat free sugar free recipe which uses an avocado for colour! Slightly odd but tastes rather good at the pre-freezing stage.Smile (sweetness from Apple sauce and a banana)

Just booked dd home for Easter which is really soon- I didn't realise! Looking forward to her being here very much.

MollyAir · 10/03/2015 18:23

Can we have the recipe for lalsy's dropbox, Crem? Glad you had 8 mins of bliss at least!

Dh has helped me download Dropbox so I am good to go. I think. Not that I really know.

lalsy · 10/03/2015 18:28

Mmm, that does sound lovely Crem. Eight minutes without pain isn't much though.

Molly, I am about to PM you re recipes.

cremolafoam · 10/03/2015 18:51

Lalsy you lovely person could you send me the linky for recipes please?
It's looking, erm, 1950s kitchen green

Rosebag · 10/03/2015 19:01

Brave little man Herbs!!! DD and I are off to GOSH on Friday for her two yearly appointment (she's been a patient there since birth)…is he under GOSH?
My happiness at being home has been short-lived with an email lurking in my inbox from DDs Drama GCSE teacher asking me to Make An Appointment. Of all her subjects this is the one where she consistently has "some concern " written on her reports. Feeling very down….she struggles so much at school and all of the other staff are positive about her, except this woman. Do you think they'll try to stop her taking the course? Sad
