Well someone had to do it as my last post was number 999...

CV your outfit sounds very S&B! You will have a great time.Smile
Hope you can remember who people are/were - I am always racking my brain on FB, can't remember half of them!

Rudy, good excuse for a shoeshopping forayWink

Blackduck · 07/03/2015 09:40

Have fun CV.
BTM that is not helpful you know.... I am living in hope as it is getting brighter...

Rosebag · 07/03/2015 10:03

Stop the feckin press. DH has just texted that he's received a letter ( A LETTER) from PILs to say they've changed their mind .....

Stropperella · 07/03/2015 10:31

Woah, Rose, that is good news!
I would look like a plumber in a jumpsuit. I know this because I still have one from the 80s and wear it for doing the decorating. Grin

Am having one of those days where the to-do list is so long I will have to start on it somewhere in the middle in order not to give up before I've started and just go back to bed.

Stropperella · 07/03/2015 10:36

Have a great time at the school reunion, CV. I added loads of people to my FB friends list after the reunion I went to a couple of years ago. I just defriended a bunch of them after remembering that I never liked them when was at school with them and realising it was daft sharing all my personal blurb with them now.

herbaceous · 07/03/2015 10:44

I haven't been to a spa for five years. And that was Centerparcs so not sure it counts. However, I don't feel particularly hard-done-by as I find they make me rather hot, bored and wrinkly!

About to have a quick jaunt to the park, then knuckle down to some work while DP takes DS to the cinema.

Have a great time at the school reunion CV! You sound very with-it.

herbaceous · 07/03/2015 10:46

x-post with Rose. That's brilliant! The tactics were obviously spot on!

As for jumpsuits, I fear I would look like two bin-bags of porridge, tied together in the middle with string.

motherinferior · 07/03/2015 10:52

Wooohooo, Rose!

I remain in a filthy mood, for a number of deeply pointless reasons. Had major row with DP this morning during which he told me he thought I needed help with coping with my stress levels well perhaps he could come home on fucking time then.

motherinferior · 07/03/2015 10:54

and not go to t'ai chi quite such a lot

and not shout and get huffy

and cook nicer food

and dance on the head of a needle with a number of angels-

NUFC69 · 07/03/2015 11:00

Have a great time, CV and BTM. Brilliant news, Rose.

I have just returned from the gym; DH played badminton so I went into the sports hall when I had finished. One of his friends was being wheeled out on a stretcher by two ambulance men - a shuttle had hit him in the eye and a blood vessel had burst. Very nasty and we're all keeping fingers crossed.

It's a horrible day here, thick grey clouds and strong winds and still so cold.... Not sure what we're going to do - it quite possibly won't be anything as I really can't be bothered.

NUFC69 · 07/03/2015 11:01

You sound about ss fed up as I do, MI.

motherinferior · 07/03/2015 11:08

It's actually glorious here! I'm meant to be meeting friends for lunch but may cancel - everything's finally getting to me and I might just crawl back to bed.

bigTillyMint · 07/03/2015 11:42

MI, get out in the sun and down t'pub! A bit of sunlight, a couple of glasses and a moan and everything will seem betterSmile

RoseShockSmile That's great!

I have worked out in the gym and am now waiting for the lightweights my friends in the spa relaxing area...

Blackduck · 07/03/2015 11:43

MI :(. If I was nearer I'd say let's meet for some lunch and bubbles (although if I'm honest food and wine are not very attractive at the minute...)

Dp -as predicted- refused to throw up but looks like hell and has gone back to bed. I have done the shopping for ds's cookery next week and am off home.

Rose - fab news -I hope it's a 50/50 split.

hattymattie · 07/03/2015 11:58

Rose - great news - hope it's fair for your DH.

MI - get thee to the pub - esp if it's glorious.

DH has gone with nephew to his graduation as neither of his parents seem bothered. In fairness they do live far away and graduation ceremonies are quite new in France. We've got some bubbly in for later (any excuse).

My bruised/broken rib hurts more now than when I did it - hopping it's part of the healing processConfused.

hattymattie · 07/03/2015 12:00

Forgot to say - have a wonderful school reunion CV. Stropps - Grin at deleting the ones you didn't like. Maybe they've evolved into semi decent human beings since school.

motherinferior · 07/03/2015 12:46

Ok, I'm goingGrinGrin

Rosebag · 07/03/2015 13:56

I've just seen a scanned copy of the letter on my phone...it's a very sincere apology for how much they have hurt DH and their misjudgement. The will was always 50 50 so it seems. They called him in last weekend to tell him of their intentions to change it in favour of SIL. What a week we've had.
I rest my case about avoiding bad blood where possible and saying how one feels. I also always admire someone who has the dignity to reflect and apologise. We must now be gracious in our acceptance of the apology. Must get back to the course. Laters Crepeys. Xx

Rosebag · 07/03/2015 13:57

MI ...Sad

Stropperella · 07/03/2015 14:53

That's a result, then, Rose!
Hatty, I'm sure they are all perfectly fine folk. When I say I didn't like them, I mean I didn't particularly warm to them and we didn't have anything in common beyond being at the same school. I realised that none of that had changed in 30 years. I've kept the ones I actually like. Smile Also dumped the po-faced religious one who I sat next to on the school bus who was form captain every year and then head girl and is still exactly the same as she was then. Annoyingly perfectly preserved - because of the extreme teetotal wholesomeness of her lifestyle, presumably. She has also adopted 422 poorly orphans and is generally goodness personified. See, we have very little in common. Grin

herbaceous · 07/03/2015 14:59

Holed up inside on this beautiful day, planning a lesson. And listening to Bach B Minor mass in the hope that I'll know my part perfectly by next Saturday (concert day!) Bugger me it's so beautiful. The Qui Tollis gives me goose pimples that touch all four walls of the study.

I have a somewhat premature suggestion for the next thread title, inspired by someone else's username - BumCrepes of Wrath. As in bumgrapes. As in piles.

motherinferior · 07/03/2015 17:38

StroppsGrinGrin

And RoseGrin

I have had reviving lunch and have purchased four (4, iv) charming wine glasses with rose pink stems in the charity shop. Still new, presumably a gift regifted by someone tasteful.Grin Perhaps it was Stropps' former head girl.

QueenQueenie · 07/03/2015 17:43

Spooky Herbs. When smartarse ds1 was reading this thread over my shoulder and was scoffing at the thread title he said 'you should call it Crepes of Wrath next time'.

Just back from offer holders' day at ds1's first choice course for next year - to which he graciously allowed us to accompany him. Was lovely and can really imagine him there... just those A2 grades to get.

Back home with a cup of tea before heading out again to theatre to see Ruby Wax - it's all go!

OP posts:
motherinferior · 07/03/2015 17:52

We have, of course, already been the Crepes of Froth...

hattymattie · 07/03/2015 17:53

Stropps Grin too sanctimonious by half! If she was really decent she a wouldn't have told you!

QQ - my DS is getting too cheeky - but Crepes of Wrath by yours is a good thread title.

Have had a lovely Skype with DD1 today - she's having fun but I'm reliably informed that the Conservatives throw better parties than the SocialistsConfused .
