Need a fake-fur jacket thingy

Going to a winter wedding and want a fake-fur jacket that I can leave on when indoors at dinner etc, rather than one that looks like an outdoor coat. I don't want it to be TOO close to being a frumpy shrug/cape though, and sleeves would be nice.

Would rather have a darker brownish colour than white or pale. I think plain rather than animal-print, although I'm willing to hear arguments for print!

Only want to spend about £60 if that, ideally.

Help ...

Unfortunately I cannot help you and I didn't know whether to post this as I do not wish to take the enjoyment out of your purchase but I thought you and other readers should know that not everything sold as fake fur is actually fake.

I read an article some time ago that you should try to avoid products that are made in China as it can be cheaper for them to use the 'real thing' rather than produce fake material and apparently it can be very difficult to tell the difference once the product has been dyed.

Apologies once again if I have upset you or other readers, but I think it is an important thing to point out as it is not widely known.

Thanks monkey. I'm not upset but I can generally tell the difference between real and fake fur anyway.
