What clothes did they have you loved?

Was remembering miss crossland. She did story time with Maroon knee length boots on. How I loved those boots and her 70s Flicky up curled pageboy.

I suggested to my mum she had her hair like that. Mum was not impressed. Grin

I was very much in awe of a teacher who wore very hippy dresses. My mother didn't approve - said she looked slovenly and like a gypsy. Alexon and Country Casuals were made for my mother, sadly.

We had a gorgeous NQT in y4. It was the mid 80s and she looked like a heavier version of Princess Diana when she first met Prince Charles - all wholesome English rose. She was quite big, but not fat. All the dads fancied her. I remember in the summer she wore floaty floral skirts - very Laura Ashley, and in the winter, leather slouchy knee boots, mid length skirts, and lacey blouses under dark jumpers. She really pulled off the romantic look of the time. Oh, she was beautiful.

However, in the late 80s/early 90s, I remember a teacher at high school who used to wear tight leather jumpsuits. Hmm she looked like the waitress from Allo Allo with big dark hair. Lots of makeup, stiletto heels. Interesting choice of clothing for a teacher.

In the early 1960's (I'm ancient) the wonderful Miss Metcalfe wore a selection of handknitted fairisle cardis and jumpers and a matching Tam O'Shanter. She also had those winged glasses with detachable wings that you could match to your outfits ( I thought it was magic as a 5 year old)

One of our primary teachers was fab. In the 80s, she had a series of amazing big earrings. My favourites were like giant silver McCoy crisps. We were mesmerised by her earrings.

We had a drama teacher (secondary) who aspired to be an actress, She wore lots of bangles and scarves and silver jewellery. She clanked quite a lot.
