Need some inspiration. Thinking more statement than bland. Somewhere on the arty/intellectual spectrum. Can only think of Phillipa Perry/Dr Melfi/Iris Apfel? Any ideas?

Thanks all - have enjoyed looking at all your suggestions. Thinking I'm aiming at a mid-point between Jenna Lyons and Nana Mouskouri.

Also, have found an interesting on-line optician's, Glasses Direct. They takes your picture via webcam and then superimpose your choice of frames over you . Has anyone used them? They seem to have a good choice of affordable retro-inspired styles.
