Bra recommendations for the little ladeez

Cuppatea14 · 14/02/2015 23:07

So I've lost my boobs again after stopping expressing for DD2. I now sport two little sad teabags hanging off my chest, max 32a, possibly 34aa.

I've always worn either pennies/primark or walcoal. These are at radically different ends of the budget with walcoal clocking in at around €70 a pop but fitting beautifully.

Any other recommendations for bras for petit fit, looking for comfort but plenty of good padding to make me look a smidge less like Humpty Dumpty.

Try 30dd

tipp2chicago · 16/02/2015 15:05

Hi Cuppatea14, whereabouts in Ireland are you? If in Limerick, go to Vamp, terrifying but excellent. If Ennis, go to de Lingerie across from the Clare Champion Office. (Can't remember the name of the street.) I've heard good things about Arnotts in Dublin, but I don't know anything about them.

Haggisfish · 16/02/2015 15:07

Brill thanks-I will statistically!

Bunbaker · 16/02/2015 16:27

"classic champagne glass style"

Champagne glasses are long and thin.

IamGrimalkin · 16/02/2015 17:11

All these numbers are confusing me. Please can someone tell me what sizes to try?

I'm 28.5 and 30

thank you in advance

LadyIsabellaWrotham · 16/02/2015 17:15

You could try 28/30 B/C Grimalkin? If you have a John Lewis near you they're good for smaller sizes (just had DD fitted and they were excellent).

IamGrimalkin · 16/02/2015 17:35

Thank you. It's such a minefield!

Haggisfish · 16/02/2015 18:16

Haha-true. Don't know what sort of glass I'm thinking of then-martini maybe?!

Haggisfish · 16/02/2015 18:19

This is what I mean! But more shallow again. Sigh!

Thanks Tipp, I'm in Dublin but stuck in the burbs, way to lazy to brave city centre with the little uns. There's a debenhams and a marks nearby though so will set off on some trying-on expeditions with my new giant C-cup bazookas. Cheapest boob job EVER.

StrawberryTallCake · 16/02/2015 18:23

Haggis you sound like my boob sister! Like madonna's cones but slightly more pointy outy?

Bunbaker · 16/02/2015 19:35

Like me as well Sad

You get all the stealth boasters on MN talking about their big norks Envy, so it's nice to "meet" some fellow fried egg owners.

SargeantAngua · 16/02/2015 19:37

Not sure if I should say this or not, but I wear the m&s 'angel' bras with the soft under wires, designed for teenagers. I'm 31. They're the only small sized ones I could find though (you'll probably tell me I'm not a 34a, but bra size is the least of my worries atm). They're very comfy.

Cuppatea14 · 16/02/2015 20:16

Oh I have worn them too Sargeant. My belly is all post natal and flobby though so I need a bit of oomph in my bras to balance myself out for the next while.

Haggisfish · 16/02/2015 20:17

Haha-I don't mind being small of boob really. I gave a small frame, do it's swings and roundabouts I guess. I did like having big norks while pg and bf-but not the associated pain!!

momb · 16/02/2015 20:27

My ED is a size 4/6 and wears a 28C after a trying on session. I buy them from figleaves in the sale as we're miles from a proper shop.

Mixtape · 16/02/2015 22:33

I just measured myself bending over, ooer. I am 33.5 underneath the boobs and 39 across them. I normally wear a 36b as I was told that was my size and have stuck to it! I generally also wear padded bras. I am 35. Have my boobs been living a lie?! Or is that right? Do I also need to measure NOT bending over?

StatisticallyChallenged · 17/02/2015 06:58

Start with a 34dd and work from there

ChiChiRaRa · 17/02/2015 10:58

I am also on the small size and measured recently at 30b but fit nicely in a 32b in Calvin Klein or a brand called B.Tempt'd. I got mine from House of Fraser but you can get them online to and they are currently on sale! I've been recommending them to my fellow small boobed friends Grin

ChiChiRaRa · 17/02/2015 10:59

*too

Haggisfish · 17/02/2015 11:02

I have just ordered lots of new bras from amaxon-quite excited!!

Cuppatea14 · 17/02/2015 17:55

So bit irritated with debenhams now, and their non adherence with measurements. Bought a bunch of bras today, a mix of 30b and 30c, to try on at home (had the 2 sprogs with me). Got home and 2 debenhams own brand 30c fit fine while another 2 own brand 30c's (different range) would not come anywhere close to fastening at the back. WTF? 30" is 30" surely. Grrr. Good news is that the ones that do fit are lovely on :)

OP posts:
StatisticallyChallenged · 17/02/2015 18:17

Sadly Debenhams own brands are, well, erratic! They definitely need tried on. I'm inclined to think that the ones which don't close are on the small side given your measurements.

Cuppatea14 · 17/02/2015 19:23

So I got a tape measure to the non-fitting debenhams bras. They are 23 inches long, 26 inches when fully stretched out as far as possible. In don't think it's likely that there are many women wandering around out there with 23-26 inch busts- who are these made for?!?
