Is it going to change my life and, more importantly, my nails?

I've just purchased one (£15 for a nail file! [Shock] )on the recommendation of a friend and I'm just wondering if I've made a mistake.

Don't know but would be intrigued to hear. Have tried his polish and wasn't blown away so would never pay full price

Brillenbar · 14/02/2015 16:29

They are great. It won't change your life but they are so much better than an emery board

stripytees · 14/02/2015 16:38

I've had mine for years and years, so at least cost per use is quite low now!

And yes, I really like it.

Pusspuss1 · 14/02/2015 16:55

Yes, yes, yes - I love mine, it's in a different league to any other nail file I've ever used. You won't regret it!

YouCanCallMeBetty · 14/02/2015 16:56

It's brilliant!

dexter73 · 14/02/2015 16:59

I was given one and was a bit sniffy about how good it apparently was. They were right though, it is a brilliant nail file and other ones seem really horrible in comparison now!

Optimist1 · 14/02/2015 16:59

It's great - had mine for several years, too, and wouldn't be without it. A wise investment on your part, OP.

CarlaVeloso · 14/02/2015 17:00

Hmmm, I'm not sure. I got one recently and am a little disappointed. It really feels weird, fingernails on a blackboard kind of sensation and it seems to take a long time to make an impact. I've resorted to an old style emery board when I have quite a lot to file off. The crystal file works very delicately, perhaps better in conjunction with nail clippers.

IHaveBrilloHair · 14/02/2015 17:01

Amazing, I love mine, and the foot file too.

maybemyrtle · 14/02/2015 17:08

I like it and I'm glad I bought it - if I dropped and shattered it I would repurchase, yes. It works best I find with light strokes, if I apply any pressure it doesn't seem to do the job as well.

rosiepinkcheeks · 14/02/2015 17:09

I love mine. Would never go back to an emery board.

AlmaMartyr · 14/02/2015 17:40

I love my crystal file. Bought one years ago and dropped it at some point so it shattered. Replaced it last year and was so glad I did, I do think they're worth it.

McMW · 14/02/2015 17:45

Yes, it is literally awesome. Wouldn't use anything else.

VodkaKnockers · 14/02/2015 18:20

Well just used it for the first time And I must say I'm impressed.

Took half the time to file them than usual. Think I'm a convert

Love mine. Nails much less likely to split now and grow a bit longer as a result.

Plus you can give it a proper wash occasionally.

Chottie · 15/02/2015 06:43

Really like mine too.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 15/02/2015 07:10

I love mine too

BringMeTea · 15/02/2015 07:50

Another fan. And. What else comes with a 25 year guarantee these days? Smile

Greymalkin · 15/02/2015 07:56

I have two bought for me by my DBro, I was a bit skeptical as he has a somewhat dubious sense of personal grooming. However, they are fantastic! So much kinder on my nails with a precision finish. Love love love.

GingerLemonTea · 15/02/2015 09:49

Love mine too. Nails are in better condition. No rough edges.
