Comfy heels recommendations?

Is there such a thing as a comfy heel in pregnancy?
I've just had an invite through the post for a birthday party that's black tie and I'll be about 26 weeks pregnant by then Confused
I'm not a big heel wearer generally anyway so heels while pregnant is definitely unknown territory, can anyone recommend any brands/styles that won't have me hobbling home at the end of the night?

You have a number of options.

  1. Hunt around for a comfy stiletto. I find Topshop heels are remarkably pain-free, but then I am an obsessive heel-wearer.
  2. Look for a block heel, wedge or ankle strap. Plenty of options here, and the block-heeled sandal is very this season.
  3. Wear flats. A beautiful velvet evening slipper with some swishy trousers and a glitzy top could be just what you're looking for. Or consider some embellished pointy flats with narrow trousers - or, if you have the height and the legs, a cocktail dress.

I've always found M&S heels to be remarkably comfy. They come in half sizes and some in wider fittings as well. Autograph tend to be the nicest looking, in my opinion. I also had some LK Bennetts which were v comfortable in pregnancy but are £££.

contradiction in terms. High heels throw your weight forward, and you'll have that anyway.

and as seen on the 'Dave' ad, they make you walk like a duck. Funny on a spoof ad, not so when trying to look elegant.

dead flat are also bad for posture, you want a small heel of about half-an-inch. Shoes like this have almost been outlawed so better start hunting...
