Does anyone have Chanel Chance?

I recently sprayed this on at Boots and thought it was lovely. So hinted to DH to buy it for me for Valentine's Day which he did.

However, it smells nothing like the one I tried on in Boots. I have the eau de toilette which smells very light and fruity, the one in Boots was heavier and smelled classier.

I'm thinking I must have tried on the eau de parfum, but they smell like different perfumes to me.

There are two or three variations of Chance. They are slightly different colours in the bottle and the variation is in small writing under the main Chance.
Hope that helps (I had some a couple of years ago).

There are different versions of the Chance perfume. Eau tendre, eau fraiche, eau de parfum and eau de toilette. So you probably tried one kind and your DH got you another kind. Would he be offended if you asked to try and change it?

I think it must have been the eau de parfum I tried as it was heavier and it only said Chance on the bottle.

It isn't possible to change it unfortunately but I might have to buy myself another bottle.

It's disappointing if you don't get the perfume you love, but if the one you got is light and fruity it might wear better in spring/summertime anyway.

Ah, I now know .. on closer inspection of my bottle, it is the eau tendre version. Seems he picked up the wrong version, drat!

Maybe buy a parfum and keep the tendre for summer. I like a fresher perfume in the summer Smile

DH just surprise me with Chance Tendre today.

I never mentioned it to him he just thought it smelled nice and I absolutely love it!

The parfum was my wedding perfume and is to die for.

I actually don't mind the tendre and the fraiche versions as well - they tend to get better over a period of wearing (bit harsh when you first spray)

Chanel are very good about exchanging things. I would try to stop by a counter and explain what happened. DH got me the wrong coco perfume and they swapped it with no problems.

There's a green and a pink one. I've used the green one for a few years and love it but don't like the pink at all. Could that be where the mix up was? The parfum is a kind of a pale tea colour, but I've never tried that.

I wear Chance au Tendre for everyday this is light and smells nothing like chance imo

It has tendre in small pink writing in bottle though
