Hoping you wonderful ladies can help me! Im on the hunt for the perfect wedding shoes, i want something quite vintage/alternative style (not too quirky, just don't want traditional satin bridal shoes!)
im after either flat or a low heel (max 2inches roughly) and my budget is £80!

my wedding dress is ivory but im open to ivory, pale pink or pale blue shoes!

Try Rachel Simpson - they're gorgeous and have sales fairly frequently, I got mine for £40 reduced from £160.

Lj8893 · 13/02/2015 17:04

Those boden ones are lovely but too harsh for my dress, and yes the heel is too high.
i love Rachel Simpson shoes and didn't know about the sales, are they just on the website?

What about some of the pretty Jenny Packham shoes? They have some lovely unique type features. Not just plain satin.

They are beautiful, i had already considered them but my size isn't available which is a shame!

That is a shame! I loved my Jenny Packhams. The fact that they were flat but with a peep-toe was fab.

Congratulations by the way OP. I loved wedding planning last year. Genuinely was the best day of my life. I hope yours is everything you want it to be. Smile

there is a wedding shoe outlet in Liverpool that have a massive choice including Rachel Simpson, I cant remember the name but google it and it should come up, my friend got some beautiful leather rachel Simpson shoes in a pale blue so maybe worth a try.

Lj8893 · 13/02/2015 17:51

Liverpool is too far from me for it to be worthwhile, the petrol cost would outweigh the cheaper shoes. I will google it though anyway, i may know someone who can take a look on my behalf.

Irregular choice do wedding shoes, yes some of them are quite quirky but some are lovely and classy just a little different to your average wedding shoe. Sorry I'm hopeless at links just google irregular choice shoes. Some are quite high but there's a lovely pair with a small heel Smile

Lj8893 · 13/02/2015 18:18

I have looked at the irregular choice, found my perfect pair but they are just too high!! Will take another look though.

They do a lower version of the pearly girly ones in the normal section (not wedding) which ones do you like? I have irregular choice and am hopeless with heels but they are very comfy.

weaselsquirrel · 13/02/2015 18:27

Dazzles 2nd razzle are a small heel and really nice within your price range too Smile

Melissa Vivienne Westwood? www.nonnon.co.uk/designers/v/vivienne-westwood/vw-lady-dragon-11-aurora-blue-bow.html

mais · 13/02/2015 18:33

I had beautiful pink shoes from Ruby Shoo for my wedding last year. They were really comfy and heel was a nice height

help me find my wedding shoes please!
Christhemoose · 13/02/2015 18:43

Seconding (or thirding?) the Rachel Simpson shoes. They're gorgeous and when I got mine lots in the range weren't too high. I wish ivory satin shoes went with more outfits though, they're just stuck in a cupboard now with occasional outings where I swoon over them and then put them straight back!

specialsubject · 13/02/2015 18:44

remember comfort is absolutely essential - painful heels will show on your face, and brides are supposed to look happy!

as always, avoid wedding sections - doubles the price for no benefit.

have a lovely day - but I would not want it to be the best day of your life. That would mean the only way is down!

PrincessOfChina · 13/02/2015 18:46

Also came on to say Rachel Simpson. I bought two pairs as I couldn't decide and then sold the ones I didn't wear for more than I paid originally!

tethersend · 13/02/2015 19:48

Lots in the sale here

Lj8893 · 13/02/2015 20:08

Love the low heeled version of the pearly girly irregular choice ones, certainly an option!
the vivienne Westwood ones are amazing but a little too high i think (don't want to be taller than my groom!)
