Walking shoes that are even remotely stylish?

Does such a thing exist?

I'm out with double buggy every day but hate wearing trainers and exercise type gear.

I don't like wearing trainers and jeans- I just don't like the look!

Any recommendations?

I bought these in the sale and walk the dog in them. Bizarrely my very fashionable 14 year old thinks they are great. I am indifferent to them, but they are comfortable and I can walk miles in them.

My fave walking shoe brand is Merrel.

I don't think such a thing does exist. I wear Skechers a lot, they are too trainerish really, but so comfortable and excellent for walking without going down the sturdy 'Woman at Millets' look.

I did have a great pair of leather shoes from Clarks that really were comfortable and definitely not trainers or outdoorsy, but the looked like Cornish pasties, so failed on the style front. I think they still sell similar things, if you don't mind pasty feet Grin.

Oh I like those clarks ones!

these are nice from the merrell website!

Great ideas!

I have the same dilemma and converse are my best friend during the dry/summer months. I think trainers are probably the best thing for your feet if out walking but just avoid wearing white ones. Any ones that are coloured will look better (and also will look like you are deliberately wearing them for walking rather than looking like you have just stuck a pair on if that makes sense)?

I have a pair of Scarpa mojitos that I love. They are really comfy and I have walked miles in them both in an urban environment and in valleys and hills. They are brilliant and still look good after the hard life they have. I wear them to work with jeans as well.

My new favourite that I got a month ago is Meindle walking shoes. Since I have got them I have also walked and worn them to work, worn them for a full week travelling in Slovakia and now on another week in Poland. They are comfortable, stylish.
Both shoes cope with bad weather including ice and also perform well on pavements etc. they look good as well which I believe was your priority!

Don't be put off by the bright pink of the Scarpa mojitos. They come in a few colours.

Thanks for all the recommendations!

I ordered the Merrell Mimosa lace in brown and pink; they came this morning and I love them!
