What do you use? And how do you apply it? I'm sick of being so pale but terrified of turning myself streaky or orange Confused please help!

Don't bother.

It always looks crap. Even when people think they've applied it perfectly there are usually streaks or patches or poo coloured knuckles and palms of hands. And it smells like biscuits.

Plus it ruins your bed sheets.

Pale skin is beautiful. Embrace it.

Fake bake flawless everytime. And contrary to Bunny's opinion, I don't have poo coloured knuckles or streaks. Because I, you know, apply it properly? Hmm

If your looking for a day to day tan. I also really like the dove daily moisturiser that builds the tan up. Wash your hands after this though. It's tempting to rub it in, but even a small amount of colour will stain when not applied properly.

Following as I'm also ghostly pale, am thinking of going somewhere for a spray tan but just want to take the blue edge off not look like I've been tango-ed

DextersMistress · 13/02/2015 11:46

Do you use a mitt mrs?
I have used the dove, it's pretty good actually but takes a while to develop and I always forget to apply it before I need it Grin
whatever I had a spray tan once, it looked awful!

It comes with a mit and with gloves. I just use the mitt, never needed to use the gloves as well.

This is a really good price for it.

Thank you. So do you exfoliate and all that first? Or just slap it on

I use st tropez when I'm going out somewhere or have a big occasion. You don't go orange or have streaks, and it doesn't smell of biscuits, though it is on the pricey side hence why I use it occasionally. The most important thing to do is exfoliate (you can buy exfoliating gloves) in the bath or shower then moisturise everywhere especially hands, feet, elbows, knees and face. Try a gradual tan lotion first - you can use it once for a subtle tan or build it up to the colour you like and you dont need to wash it off after. Just wack it on after a shower, wait a couple of mins for it to dry and get dressed.
